Im wondering if everyone here owns a PS3 already or if you are going to wait till MGS4 drops to actually get one. If you have one already, did you get it specifically for MGS4? I got mine back in July. I was going to get one anyway but MGS4 was definetly one of the games I was most anticipating

I wouldn't waste so much money just for one game, I bought my PS3 because overall I know it's a great system. MGS4 wasn't a huge factor in deciding

Got a Ps3 cause Playstation is what I'm use too..there are plenty of good games other than mgs4 on the console, although that was a big reason as to why I bought it.

MGSF has predominately PS3 owners because this is an MGS forum and MGS4 is PS3 exclusive.

I have no PS3, I will wait till MGS4 comes out. The price will drop by then.

I was originally going to get it when MGS comes out...
But if i did that then i guess i wouldnt of had COD4 or resistance to keep me entertained on those dark rainy nights..

My original PS3 was bought with MGS 4 in mind, but then it got delayed.

The one I have now was bought because my 360 fucked up and I didn't trust Microsoft enough to deliver a 360 that wouldn't melt when I boot up GTA IV.

Yes i did buy it purely for MGS4 like wise with PSP and Game Cube for MGS games, but that doesn't mean i don't buy other games.

I probably won't even get one when MGS4 does come out.

Well I got mine back in June as I knew I'd be getting one eventually, and I'm grateful I did due to the 60 GB PS3. MGS4 took in a small factor in my decision but ultimately it wasn't a massive affect. I knew I was never going to buy a 360 though.

I won't lie. The majority of the reason I'm buying a PS3 is for MGS4. In fact, I'm waiting for the 80 GB PS3/MGS4 bundle to actually purchase mine. I don't doubt there will be a lot of other great games to play on it eventually, but I wouldn't even be buying a PS3 if it wasn't for MGS4. No question about that.

my 360 will do for now.. i will get a ps3 when MGS4 comes out. If the funds are right... only reason is for MGS4 and FFXIII..

Exactly the same reason as me and I want Playstation Home But mainly because of backwards compatibility I even returned my 360 Elite for the PS3.

I still don't have one,but I'll get it eventually.

Lack of any interesting exclusives other than MGS4 as well as numerous other issues keeps me firmly in the "no" pile. I'll just play MGS4 at work in our non-demobooth console instead. =)

I was thinking about PS3, but i would pass on it. Like Solidus and Ghost, I will have to eventually play it at a friends' house or something but for now, I don't want a PS3.

I'm more of a PC gamer so that's one of the reasons.

I don't have a PS3 yet either, I only plan to get one at a time very close to MGS4's release date. It's the game I most want on the PS3, but I will also be getting Ratchet and Clank, GTAIV, the next Hitman and probably Resident Evil 5.

I'm slightly annoyed about the non-backwards compatibility on the 40 gig PS3. PS2 games will probably be my main source of entertainment still, and of course, I want to play Crash Team Racing,:wub: and Hogs of War (PS1) on it. If I can't get a 60 somehow, I pray that bundle comes over here. I don't want to break my bank until I need to at the moment.

But il'e get Mgs4 about 2 days earlier then the normal release date ..

well some people don't understand the true meaning behind the experience of Metal Gear Solid if that makes sense or do not feel passionate about it. to most its just another "cool" game, to others its just a game with shit controls and way too long annoying cut scenes and a complicated story.

but to me it isn't, MGS is no mere game it is part of my lifestyle if you will, some people feel the same way about it too... to a certain degree, after playing MGS1 it changed my life is many ways which i cannot explain. so not playing MGS4 or not having the means to play it or own it and have it in a place where i can access it at will is not an option for me, it is "mandatory" to purchase it along with whatever console it is on, even if it wasn't on the PS3 or if it was on a special console called MGS4 console i would still go out of my way to get it... to the ends of the earth if i have to.

i just hope the people who say they are not going to get a PS3 for MGS4 see the error of their ways... eventually
