I got MGS3 subsistence and needed help it tells me i have an error when i try playing and telling me to call or try again later saying they can't run online through but that wouldn't be true the whole time so i've tried three times over over and over for a while and just curious if anyone can explain.

The online was shut down so they could make room for MGS4 online.

You can't play Online on Subsistence anymore. Konami closed down the servers.

ya they closed it more than a year before mgs4 comes out....that makes alot of since....not realy, more like the closed it so we would by mpo(metal gear solid portable ops)

They closed it because it was filled to the brim with glitches and hacks, similar in nature to nearly every Socom game. They were just too lazy to get off their asses and fix it. They issued some "excuse" as to the fact they were closing it to begin testing online for MGS4. That is bullshit. They were tired of hearing complaints about glitching, and refused to fix it.

acually by the end glitching wasnt that bad, most people that use to do it got bored and quit cuz they suked at the game, the only people that did it was a few newbs, i rarely ever seen any glitchers the last 5 or 6 months. the real problem was boosters, they were super bad expecially in cap with the cap glitch. but they didnt close it for glitching or boosting. the most likely is a marketing ploy, for fans of mgo to go buy mpo and play that online since they dont have mgo.
