Rambo first blood: the ultimate classic along with Rambo first blood 2 (which title does not make sence) i love the overall theme of the movie and the action.
Robocop Social criticisms and action a true classic
Predator: Better than the second one
The Terminator: not as good as the second one but had a much more personal feel, because was man against machine.
Mad Max 2 The ultimate post apocalyptic fantasy, loved every second of it.
honor mention Bloodsport: the movie that invent the story of the outcast warrior fighting in a tournament for some noble reason, great all the way

The best sequel in history, the Hive battle(s) are pure action mixed with thriller.
It also has it's fair share of cheesy one liners, which is a vital aspect of any 80's film.

It's got everything. Cops, Germans and sub-machineguns.
Oh and one liners a plenty.
My favorite movie monster, plus an incredible cast. Including two Governors!
They pretty much shat on Robert Howards mythology, but it's a brilliant action film nonetheless.

Pretty easy list,
Die Hard,
Terminator
Aliens (I put it on the list...although it is truly a sci-fi and not classified as action. But so is Terminator)
Blood Sport - I really pick this cause I don't wanna put Arnold as 75% of the top movies. Although he is great.
Rocky- I pick Rocky as its series throughout the 80s. I know part 1 was made in the 70s, but there were a lot of em in the 80s. Besides, I think it is more popular then Rambo.
