Title: Guinness World Records
Description: GAMERS EDITION

snake_solid - March 15, 2008 06:35 PM (GMT)
I was just browsing through gamespot and ran into this.

Gamers' Edition

Pretty neat and I was shocked that Shenmue is the most expensive game production, dang.

I think it's worth having a look, but I certainly won't be buying it.

Aquila - March 15, 2008 07:37 PM (GMT)
I'd love to be given it as a present but never would I go out to buy it

King Snake - March 15, 2008 09:00 PM (GMT)
I would not buy it either cause I have no use of it.

Yeah I said that in my Shenmue topic.

I've seen this around a few places, I might pick it up if I have the money spare.

Or I might just steal borrow my cousins copy.

RossSP - March 17, 2008 03:21 PM (GMT)
I got, I splashed out £10 for it XD.

It's quite a neat little reference for gaming facts, but some of them are pretty useless, such as the record for "Biggest Enemy in the Tomb Raider Series."- It says it's the sea serpent from Legend, but Id've thought the Dragon from II was bigger. Meh.

Any MGS facts?

I know it has Halo stuff, so if theres no MGS stuff I will be mightily pissed off.

I think im going to have to try to beat that this weekend. Ive beaten the game at around the same time only dying maybe twice but i know i can beat it. Me and a buddy used to set up two tv's and race to see who could beat it first.

I WILL DO IT!!!

That's awesome...thanks for sharing. I enjoy reading these types of things, especially when they're video game related.

monkeymaguire - March 17, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
yeah i seen this advertised, i might go buy it seeing as how it was one of the only sections i'd read in the actual guinness books. speaking of guinness... i just had a great guinness and steak pie for st patrics day, yum yum.
i think getting into that book is the ultimate sign of geekyness haha, i'd love to be in it, ya know... somethin to show the grand children haha
"oh.. yeash.. back in the day i was involved in many wars.. as evedant in this book.. see theres me being ranked #1 at call of duty ever" and so on...

No problem, my friend.

Plus, the book is an interesting idea, I mean giving in some facts about the gaming industry alone, if you know what i mean. :D

Where did you get your copy from, RossSP?

I had a browse at a copy of ths the other day - was expensive (as they all are) but would definitely be a good read I say.
