when i was younger, around my late teens i was just an angry guy, outside of school, in home, at work, it started to rub off a lot on me, so much bullshit going on in my life at once and i couldn't endure it as well as i had wish i could, i'm a better person now.
but this is more for what many of us who have or still do suffer from this anger feel. a conflicting sense of separation. because the narrator is my self conscience conflicting with my former self, and i'm rather sure some of you have felt the feel of separation, knowing what is surrounding you, but becoming unable to control yourself.
living with a frown, life got you down?
take a deep breath, relax.
discovered your girlfriend's gotta move outta town?
take a deep breath, relax.
is your job too tough?
is your life too rough?
are you smashing your stuff?
have you fucking had enough?
take a deep breath, relax.
trying to move on but stuck on the page,
sometimes you simply can't bottle your rage,
it's a morbid sight and it turns you into what you are not,
sometimes you'll just wanna drown it out with booze or pot,
your rage will push away those who care for you,
you probably don't care because you let your anger get the better of you,
where did it get you? come on, wake up and just get a fucking clue,
you're losing your mind, don't deny it, because you and i both know it to be true.
living with a frown, life got you down?
take a deep breath, relax.
discovered your girlfriend's gotta move outta town?
take a deep breath, relax.
is your job too tough?
is your life too rough?
are you smashing your stuff?
have you fucking had enough?
take a deep breath, relax.
don't let it consume you, or sink you down more,
rage is an ugly thing that drags you on the floor.
breath, relax, exhale your anger away,
it's hard at first but gets easier day after day after day.
keep at it, come on, see your angers just melt away,
avoid the cause of what makes you feel this way,
your anger is killing you and that's all i have to say.
living with a frown, life got you down?
take a deep breath, relax.
discovered your girlfriend's move outta town?
take a deep breath, relax.
is your job too tough?
is your life too rough?
are you smashing your stuff?
have you fucking had enough?
take a deep breath, relax.
take a deep breath, stop, assess the situation,
relax, confront and destroy your senseless irritation,
take a deep breath, relax.
I hope that was written to the tune of some '80's bubblegum ppop song, it would suit it perfectly. Not 'heavy' writing, but good stuff. :thumb:
no thankfully the intent wasn't to be deep, more optimistic than anything but pop song or not, i'm just glad you think the beat works with something.
thank you. :)
