Have anyone played Gun?
If anyone doesn't know it, then: It's a PS2 game that takes place in "ye'old west", and it has a pretty decent story. I remember some reviews saying it was GTA on horseback, and it does have that kinda feeling, but it isn't as long as a GTA game though.

Personally I thought Gun was a pretty good game. I owned it on PS2 a while back before lending it to someone who eventually moved away without returning it. 'Twas all good, though, since I had already beaten it like twice. I like the quick-draw system as well as the side missions like the Wanted posters. I also found the town showdowns or whatever they were called to be quite entertaining, and the horseback riding seemed significantly smoother to me than it is on Assassin's Creed.
I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't given it a shot. I haven't played any other old western games that were any good. Which reminds me, I still haven't tried out Red Dead Revolver.

I have played Red Dead Revolver.
It kinda has a better feel to it, but it is relly anoying that you are not the same person all the time. You keep playing diffrent storylines with diffrent persons, so I pick Gun over Red Dead Revolver any day.

I have. Gun in my opinion is an awesome game. Just wished it could have been longer, or had a sequel.

I like gun, it is a really good game I have finished it 100% so many times. Red dead is a pretty decent game as well, all the stories link up in the end.
EDIT: I heard there was going to be a GUN 2 but I aint sure.

Gun has a sequel on the PSP called Gun Showdown.

So if I liked the gameplay in Gun I would probably also enjoy the gameplay in Red Dead Revolver? If so I may just get myself a copy of it and try it out. I always thought it looked pretty good but I've never had the chance to play it. The plot sounds interesting to me.

Gun has different game play to red dead but the stories are sort of the same. I would recommend Gun rather then Red Dead but they are both really good games.

I haven't played either game, but I was planning on buying at least one, perhaps both at one point, I can't really remember. I always liked to watch Western films, so I thought going for one of these would be a good idea. In recent times, I have forgotten all about it, but I have heard good things.
Maybe now PS2 games are cheaper...
Gun over Red Dead then, huh? I have always loved revolvers. :P

Yeah same Ich', in Red Dead you get more choice over guns and depending on how much you like it, you feel like you want to keep playing it. Gun is like GTA when you have finished it it can get boring so you start it again. But in Red Dead you keep all the guns and everything when you restart.

Must have PS2 game..
I just loved watching bodies shake and scream on the ground after being shot, then taking off all there limbs with a Shotgun while there still alive..
..Try it, its like watching a potato roll about on the floor screaming.
Not violent at all really?

Gun was a relly awesome game. I sometimes think it's a bit short, but then I realise it works as a short and sweet game, rather than a dull drawn-out one.
Recommneded for any action game fan.
