Title: Bioshock
Description: Just finished it

WHiTeFaLCoN - April 6, 2008 10:45 AM (GMT)
Just finished Bioshock but I thought the end was kinda anti-climactic. Still, I enjoyed it!

Johnyman - April 6, 2008 10:59 AM (GMT)
Bioshock was ruined for me due to my god-awful PC. I mean, the game is just great, but the optimization was dreadful. I didn't even manage to complete the thing because of these issues. Anyway, the game itself is amazing. Hope the sequel (and it has been confirmed there will be one) holds up to the first.

black king - April 6, 2008 01:11 PM (GMT)
i thought Bioshock 2 was a prequel? oh well i've completed it on the 360(better controls than the PC) and it's probably one of the best games i've ever played. Whoever came up with the whole idea is a geinus through and through.

Johnyman - April 6, 2008 01:18 PM (GMT)
Oh yeah, it is a prequel. But the only difference would be that it happens before the original game. Like, I considered DMC3 a sequel, but it was also more like a prequel.

Anyway, will the prequel/sequel be on 360 and PC again or will the PS3 get a slice of it?

bioshock was okay,it wasn't that great for me,i lost interest in it around mid point in the game

HAHAHAno. In FPS games; mouse+keyboard > gamepads in every way.

And if one REALLY wanted to use the inferior 360 gamepad the PC version supported that too.

Not to encourage Registers anti-console rants but he is right, mouse + keyboard set up is much more effective for FPS.

BioShock was great, but I have to admit the endings were a letdown. They were too short and there was no fade into credits after, it just puts you straight back to the main menu.

I'm currently playing through System Shock 2 actually.

i doubt you'd play as the same guy though. Maybe Ryan or Fontaine?

HAHAHAno. afraid not in my book.
does anyone notice a vita chamber sitting in ryan's room after you kill him? you think he comes back?
BioShock, without a doubt, would have to be my favorite game outside of the MGS series. I've never even been much of a FPS fan, but BioShock seems to be one of those games that you either love or hate, and I loved it. The plot was genius, and the gameplay kicked ass as well. I've beaten it once on Easy and once on Novice but I've yet to complete it on Hard.

I didn't know a second one was in the works. Great news for me; I'll definitely be picking up a copy.

Bioshock was a good game for me. Was one of the few games as of late with the ability to suck me in and keep me there nonstop to finish it. Wasn't as good as some reviewers said but i thought it was good. Can't wait for the second one.

I recognize a Gamepad is good for certain games(I have a gamepad for the computer myself); sport games for example. However, with FPSs, non-Japanese RPGs, and RTSs mouse+keyboard is by far superior. More buttons, more customability, and(vital for FPSs) more accuracy means that it's far superior.

As to not derail this topic too much; I'm of the opinion that BioShock is the best game ever made, right before Fallout 2 and System Shock 2.

Bioshock is my favourite game this gen, closely followed by Mass Effect.

The atmosphere, the plot and gameplay are bang one but as the OP said the ending was a bit underwhelming.

I don't think it warrants a prequel/sequel though.

black king - April 11, 2008 01:51 AM (GMT)
certinley sold enhough copies to support a sequal imho

I hope it does come, also a lot of release lists say it will and stuff.

Anyway looks like a awesome game definetely worth playing, so I hope it comes like I said ^_^

black king - April 11, 2008 02:10 AM (GMT)
it may not since it's done so well on the 360 and Microsoft may make a fuss about it.

I dont think Microsoft has any say in it -_-

Since basically the developer chooses it's consoles unless some contract is made, and Bioshock hasnt got one.

Microsoft should be glad that they released Bioshock for Xbox, if not there wouldnt be a lot of games ''good'' for the console.

Ghost Sniper - April 11, 2008 05:26 AM (GMT)
NOT coming out on PS3. The rumor was debunked by 2kGames the developers themselves long time ago.

so it's a 360(and PC) exclusive eh? console exclusives are really getting old. Why can't they just release them on all the consoles and make everyone happy? Or just have one console.

Register - April 11, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
It's more likely that MGS4 is coming for the 360 than BioShock coming for the PS3.

black king - April 12, 2008 02:08 AM (GMT)
ya probably. More likely that SSBB comes to PC then MGS4 coming to 360. Sony said it's there most important 3rd party game though. But what i wanted to ask was has anyone ever saved ALL the little sisters? i went through a game without harvesting any but i found my self short on ADAM a lot -_-

Euh... No..

And as why they dont release everything on every console?

Let me say it like this...

If Mario, Zelda, Metroid, SSBM and Pokemon were on every console? What would Nintendo lose?

black king - April 12, 2008 03:10 AM (GMT)
ya and how many Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, and Metriod games are there? they use them too much imho.

..Liquid.. - April 12, 2008 03:14 AM (GMT)
You obviously dont understand what I am trying to say.

I mean that if you take those games and put it on other consoles, that there would be no reason to buy a Nintendo...

For example Xbox has its Halo and Gears Of War, Nintendo has those. Sony has MGS4... Omg this is weird.. They also have other good games like Ratchet And Clank, Resistance, Motorstorm etc... I cant add GTA anymore to that list, damn xbox.

Not wise saying this in a topic with people who have a Xbox :ph43r:

Can we please get back on topic?
