hi everyone, just got MPO+! anyway, i heard that you need to use an item called 'the heart of J' to get multicoloured genomes. is this true? if so can i have some advice as to how to obtain it?

Yeah it's true. You find it during infinity mission. Either in the open or With the Kerotan sound, although the sound is random.

Nope! All random... My advice would be to hang onto a Mine Detector if you find one. Also, if you are looking for a peticuliar colored Genome, use it and if it isn't the one you want, just reload your game. Note, however, that the genome you have is only going to turn THAT color, so it you want Red, and he turns Blue, you have to capture another Genome. At least, that's my experience.

Yep I would just capture 20 genomes and find 20 Hoj's and just find which ones turened colors and then remember them and release the ones i didnt want

One thing I've found is that you're more likely to find a heart of J when using genomes. I usually only get 1 roughly every 2-3 play throughs on Extreme, but I did it with my genome team (or "The Power Rangers" as I like to call them) and got 4 in one play

So what actually is it? Just an item laying about somewhere? Or is it that noise that keeps going off when i walk near it, like a ketoran, but it only beeps when i walk.
Hard to find? Screenshots would be nice too! Show us some of your multicolored teams.

Some levels i hear it, and its louder when you get closer to it. I'm guessing thats it?

When you hear the noise, follow it. Use your sonar to find out where it is (it's invisible, so find a spot where no matter how little you move, the sonar says it's in a different direction) and then either lay down or shoot the floor and an item will come out of the ground. Sometimes it'll be a heart of J, sometimes a textbook, sometimes stealth or sometimes a large medikit or ration.
