Title: Warning Questions

Midna - April 10, 2008 12:46 AM (GMT)
Hey all, I just have a few curiousity questions about warnings. Around when I joined a few years ago, I was a little bugger and almost got myself banned, I'm pretty sure since then if I got one more warning I would most definately be banned. So my questions are:

How do you know how many warnings someone has?

Do warnings show up on member names somewhere if you're a staff member? (I've seen warning levels on some forums)

Can they go away after time?

I don't know, I just got curious. Thanks :)

Warn levels can only be seen by staff members, but you can always ask what your warn level is if you forget. You are currently on 3 warnings. If you get 5 warnings you will be banned. You can get warn reductions if you win contests with that as a prize, or if you do a big good deed or lots and lots of little ones.

Ive got a question. If you get banned, are you aloud to create another account and return? Obviously not if you did something unforgiveable or something, but maybe if you just received 5 warnings?

@abc123

From my experience in staff, we do not allow previously banned members to return.
If we did, they'd be banned and would get to come back in the next 5 minutes with a different account and continue.

So no, not really.

CHIP was one exception, and you saw how well that went.

It wouldn't really be a ban in that case, would it? There's no point in banning someone and then saying"oh, it's all right, you can come back in two minutes." It totally defeats the objective of a ban. We do give enough warnings before banning. Some forums give four, others only two. We give five, which is more than enough.

Well I'm making sure I'm winning some of those comps in org alliance to reduce my warning level..I think it's currently on 4.

Helikaon - April 10, 2008 02:47 PM (GMT)
Yup, 4 it is for Null.

HolySpawn you're currently on 4 also.

@abc. Theres no "just 5 warnings". Warnings aren't haplessly given out, they're given out for rule breaking, if you get 5 you deserve to be banned and theres no way back. I believe we've only allowed a member to come back once and it didn't turn out well.

Anyways, looks like the question has been answered.
