Description: Yes, 47 is coming back.

snake_solid - April 15, 2008 09:41 PM (GMT)
I was just browsing through gamespot, and I ran into this, Hitman 5

I've read more info on the game might be called Hitman: The Return.

What does future hold for 47?

Discuss.

No idea, but I'm pumped to see where they'll decide to take this one.

Next-Gen Hitman, awesome.

Can't wait to take on some new contracts in HD.

:D

I wish they released some pics of sketches or something but dang, imagine the AI improvement. I hope it's really realistic. ^_^

Sounds great to me. The only Hitman I've ever played was Blood Money. A buddy and I beat the game several times a while back. 'Twas a good game. I can only imagine it'll get better on a next gen console.

Cant wait for a next Hitman. But it definitely wont be till like end of 2009

snake_ultsol - April 15, 2008 10:46 PM (GMT)
Correct me if I'm wrong - Hitman: Blood Money was the third Hitman game?

Helikaon - April 15, 2008 10:50 PM (GMT)
Fourth.

Hitman: Contracts was the third.

Hitman: Codename 47
Hitman: Silent Assassin
Hitman: Contracts
Hitman: Blood Money.

Can't wait for more news.

OcelotSnake - April 15, 2008 10:50 PM (GMT)
It goes:

Hitman: Codename 47
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
Hitman: Contracts
Hitman: Blood Money

Codename 47 was PC only hence why you might not have heard of it.

All I hope for a Hitman sequel is that it is, from a technical standpoint, nothing like Kane and Lynch. I'd be more hyped for a Freedom Fighters 2 though :(

EDIT: Heli swooped in before me dammit ^_^

snake_ultsol - April 15, 2008 10:56 PM (GMT)
Thanks for clearing that up. Actually, I didn't know about Hitman: Contracts.
I think Hitman: Blood Money is the best Hitman game (I've played Codename 47 and Silent Assassin) and I'm stoked for this one.

Hitman needs a more gritty look with rich atmosphere and mood.

As well as brand new control scheme and combating scheme as well as new abilities.

If Eidos really wants Hitman 5 to truly breakthrough as a true next gen game, they gotta really start from scratch.

EDIT: Oh, and a new engine would be nice

King Snake - April 16, 2008 03:38 PM (GMT)
I played the first 3 Hitmans, but I didn't played Blood Money. I must get into it.

krypton_ls - April 16, 2008 03:53 PM (GMT)
iAn always was easy to please as a gamer ^_^

I hope for the same as you've said though, (hehe) and it really is about time.

I love the Hitman series. Looking forward to some news of this one!

What needs the biggest improvement is the AI, in my opinion. Blood Money's guards were too way forgiving - You could run circles around them and they wouldn't do a thing, and if you get caught lockpicking they just get a bit suspicious until you move away a bit. It made the game much less of a challenge and was really stupid for the last contract in the Whitehouse. Not that they should start shooting at you like in Silent Assassin as that was equally as ridiculous, but they should react to it more realistically.

A new engine, too. After 4 games (Codename: 47 used the same engine right? It's the only one I haven't played) I think it's about time that gets a change.

Does anyone know what we might ba able to expect in terms of storyline or is it too early. But awesome I never heard of the first one so this would be the fourth one I will have played. All great games especially Blood Money.
