Title: Snake Tale Length
Description: Question

Hi, new here, just playing through the essentials collection. I am wondering about how long the snake tales take. I just started substance, just beat Olga, which took about 1.5 hours (I like to explore, back track, and take my time). I will probably play the Snake tales after I finish the main game, but just wanted a length estimate so I can budget my time, seeing as you can't save mid-mission (right?).

So using the fact that it took me about 1.5 hours from start to end of Olga as a general template, how long am I looking at for the snake tales?

Thanks a lot!

This is the Sons of Liberty section, you want to put this in the Substance section.

Sorry but I can't really help, its been ages and my substance copy no longer works but if I had to take a guess it would depend on what type of gamer you are, but all'n all none of them should take you are least 2 hours to get through.

Thanks for moving it. So no more than 2 hours then? Average time around there for a non-speed through person who likes to take everything in?

More or least then a few hours, they really don't take very long.

And there is no way to save mid-mission right?

Every time it gives you a new script to the story you should be able to save, I think.

Oh, ok. Thanks!

Yeah, every script sequence, you will get the option to save your game. If you take everything in and don't rush through the gameplay, they all will take longer, but there is no codec, meaning you get a little briefing on select instead. I reckon if you go slow and everything, near an hour for most, perhaps. Snake Tale E may be longer, it's the longest Tale as it is, and there is a lot to try. There are also "Good" and "Bad" endings for most tales, which you'll find out about, unless you want me to explain.

And now for the usual, an invitation to join us speedrunners. :P

It's great fun, if you like doing it, try to beat my 16:17 on E, perfect stats, I was pretty happy with that.

Thanks for the great info, definately hepls.

I doubt I will have enoguh time to put in to become a speed runner- just got essentials to play all the games (Had only everp layed part one, and that was when it first came out), and only just started Big Shell, so it will be a while before I am even prepped for 4. Although I suppose being a speed runner could help with that.

I took all the Snake Tales in one day. Maybe because I got some skills on MGS. You since you like to explore and stuff will probably use two days. I don't know. Yeah and one more thing I asked Young Snake (which is my cousin) of what the Snake Tales are after I did them. They have nothing to do with the story I was replyed. I was so disappointed but then again how can Meryl die and come back in MGS4 B)
