My mother was a huge horror movie fan, therefore growing up from the age of 3 on up I always sat around watching em with her.
I don't find the 'horror' movies these days to be scary at all though...Things like the Grudge, The Ring, Hostle and stuff just don't interest me.

It was always best to have a situation that everybody goes in day do day. Like fall asleep and fear that Freddy would kill ya. Or fear that Myers would be waiting behind your door...

Or that It would kill you as a child.

Yes, IT was my favorite horror movie as a child.

Horror movies tend to suck now a days. Last really good horror flick I saw was the Descent.
Only gripe is the ugly chick lived while she left the hot one to get eaten.
ahh man i totally forgot about that movie and i own it add that one to my list too. i thought that movie had everything in it, really uneasy movie to watch but i loved it. f the claustrophobia!
about the ending did you think it was all in her head? ive heard speculations that it was all in her head
there are two different endings to the movie, depending on where you live. The ending they showed at American theaters was far different then the one released in Europe. So it mostly depends on where you live or what version you saw first on how you perceive the movie. But once again, as I said I don't find the movies these days to be scary. I'd classify that more as a 'thriller' since I never once felt anything towards the movie. And surely I don't spend a lot of time in random caves so it doesn't leave a lasting mental effect like the old horror movies.
I also love Vampire movies they're kick ass, I eman who doesn't want to be Young forever. I have seen many (even the sucky straight to SciFi ones). To tell the truth nothing has scared me since the original Exorcist but I do enjoy most horror movies. I liked the remake as well as the original Dawn of the Dead movies. it's pop out scars but it was alright. I also enjoyed the First Saw movie quite a bit, the rest are just gory Halloween movies.

Horror movies are just the best. There's a video rent store near my place and I always pick one up every now and then.

I think Horror movies are some of the worst. I've seen a few good ones. But nothing really worth remembering. The only ones I dig are 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. Also just because those soundtracks were amazing and made it feel so epic! Brian Eno's contributions really made it the best.

The very first zombie movie ever made "Night of the Living Dead" is just epic. Watch it in the original black and white.

Yeah- classic! But I must agree with Mouth- most of the latest horror movies are sick (let's kill the directors).

I've always been curious about this movie. Is it the same as The Ring? Does it have the same story pretty much?
