Title: Cant beat Ocelot

Hey, can someone tell me how to beat Ocelot? For whatever reason, it keeps exploding even though I don't shoot at it or touch it.

The tactic I use is to hide behind a pillar, Ocelot usually will stand beside the adjacent pillar. Then while he's in the open, I go into first person and hit the right trigger button and pop off a round.

Alright, I did that and beat him, but the problem: I skipped the cutscene and all, and immediatly after, with out a chance to save, I get this:

A little, but not much cause this is the 2nd time it's done this. Usually, games that I buy do it often for no reason.

It could just be your Gamecube's laser. Usually that will happen if the laser is off center.

What I did was I waited for him to reload his Single Action Army, then I got behind him and shot him and then he'll start running, stay behind him and shoot him.

Here's my strategy....I'll be a little stingy on the specifics because I haven't played in a while.
Pull out your SOCOM (Or M9 (Thank you AlwaysOpenMouth for correction) if your going for the Stanima kill for whatever reason), hold the Aim/Shoot button (A?) as whatever button allows you to run with your gun pointed (I forget..Sue me). Simply put, chase him and shoot him in the back...Wait a few seconds before you shoot him a second,third, etc. time..Temporary invincibility or whatnot..
As for your disc, it's either your Cube hating you, or your disc sucks.
Windex works for the disc, for the cube..A sledgehammer works nicely.

It's all good, I don't take any offense to it. I haven't really been playing any of the MGS games lately, let alone The Twin Snakes...Or the original..Seeing as I loaned them both out to friends.. >_> *Edits*

Two very easy ways;
at the beginning of the fight, go into FPS. Don't move. Then use the "peek" thing to go to your left, and get a headshot. Let go of L. Then press L again and repeat. My record is 12 seconds.
or
Lean against a pillar. Wait til you see him shoot. Then crouch, then stand again. Repeat. Then when he reloads go get 'em tiger.

FINALLY! After beating him a few times..... IT WORKED! MY DISC WORKS NOW! Thanks everyone for your help! now i just need to get past the beams.... I'm glad no one Mocked me or anything for asking that.

Just in case you didn't know about the beams, you can permanently disable them by shooting the boxes on the floor on the left.

EDIT: Never mind.... i got past it..... Vulcan is HARD!
