Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is coming on Sony PlayStation 3, and it - as Hideo Kojima said during the last E3 - will be the last one game of the twenty-year Konami saga. So we thought to start this petition to support the realization of a PlayStation 3 remake for the best game ever made: Metal Gear Solid. It would be a great tribute for the twenty-years of the saga, almost ten years later the release of the first Solid chapter on Sony PlayStation.

oh the remake we have in mind should not be in any way like to TTS

this remake must maintain the same musics, the same one gameplay, must only change to the texture and some mechanics of game like the combat body to body

Even if people do sign up Konami isn't just going to accept another MGS remake.
The first remake was made out of Konami's offices and jurisdiction (in some way) and may people were disappointed about how it turned out or about the whole aspect generally.
The MGS Production Unit isn't going to take responsibility for it and certainly Kojima wont participate in any way in it.
If you like a remake play Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.

The story was 'cooked up' many times over and over. Konami and Kojima confirmed that this is the end for the MGS saga and that's probably it, even if we fans like it or not.

I'm on your side. I wish it was possible and plausible but I don't think so...

It's a shame, but it has been running for 20 years or so. It was fun while it lasted.

Although this would be fucking awsome because TTS was so god damn dissapointing, it will never happen. Kojima is done with MGS unless his team decides to take up the project but even if that happened it would be a loooong time. Never seen a game with 2 remakes.

Because i cant see anyone redoing anything that has to do with MGS1
this was the whole purpose for TWIN SNAKES
and despite what anyone thinks..this is the closest we'll get to a remake
theres no sense in attempting it for a 2nd time.

if you want an exact copy of the original, play the original.

I played Twin Snakes and the original and Twin Snakes was amazing, I find it much more enjoyable than the original although it is easier and the accents aren't as good as the originals. Twin Snakes is a solid remake though. We don't need another one.

Petitions don't help much. We've already had a remake of MGS1, I doubt we'll be seeing another one anytime soon, with Shadow Moses being in MGS4 and all.

I really doubt there will be a remake of MGS1. A game with 2 remakes has never happened before, if it has tell ME!!!!!

But MG. Remake of that might be cool. :D
