Title: Raiden and The Colonel
micster - May 6, 2008 12:30 PM (GMT)
I wasnt really sure where to post this but its a thought ive been having. Im gonna assume that Raiden will meet Campbell but how do you think they'll react to each other? I mean Raiden spoke to an AI of him and would Campbell even know this?
So what dya think of that sort of situation

Possibly Raiden will get a little pissed of and The Colonel would know a thing about it.
If this comes to the game it would be a messy and unsure situation.

Nah i think Raiden will get okay with him
johnnyakiba1017 - May 6, 2008 11:56 PM (GMT)
I think Raiden would be actually relieved about meeting a real person instead of an AI who spearheaded S3
xAlwaysOpenMouthx - May 7, 2008 12:02 AM (GMT)
I think Raiden would be afraid to because of what happened with the AI. He'd just have flashbacks to the time and get all PTSD on him and how he isn't real!

I think Raiden will be surprised more than anything. But thats a good observation Mic.

Something tells me Raiden is acting independent of anyone else and will not have any interactions with Colonel Campbell.

Agreed, there really isn't any relationship between the two. Of course the thing with the AI, but I think that's just the Patriots way of trying to get rid of Campbell.

Who's to say they haven't already met in the years between MGS2 and MGS4?

that is exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure that Raiden met Campbell before MGS2, like for the briefing!?
Splitter Snake - May 7, 2008 03:32 AM (GMT)
Um...Raiden says he never met him in MGS2, and he didn't, because the person who he was taking orders from was NEVER Roy Campbell. Roy Campbell had no idea about Raiden or this "mission" that he was given under this pseudo-FOX-HOUND.
Young Snake - May 7, 2008 06:49 AM (GMT)
He didn't meet Campbell during the course of MGS2, but anything could've happened in the years between 2009 and 2014. Why wouldn't Snake introduce Raiden to his closest friends?

Very true. Considering how close Raiden and Snake seemed at the end of MGS2, I find it very likely that Snake would have at some point seen Roy and introduced him to Raiden. It would probably be a little strange for Raiden, but he'd get used to it.

Raiden said something, turned around and Snake was gone. That doesnt seem like a close bond to me.
We have to think if Snake has had contact with Campbell between 2005 and 2014 though as no mention in the 2009 tanker incident and Snake seems shocked when he sees Campbell in Otacons helicopter
