Title: I'm off...
Wilson - May 9, 2008 11:47 AM (GMT)
I have decided to leave the forums for a while. There are multiple reasons, some are my fault, and some aren't. Firstly, I would like to apologise to micster and Tamashi_7, who I said some bad things to. I do not like homosexuality, and I got annoyed at micster. I shouldn't have judged him because of one aspect of his person. I am disliked by many people around the forum now, namely Double0sigint, ..Liquid.., micster and Tamashi. This has basically caused me to feel worthless and I really want a break.
Secondly, my opinions and views are flamed, and not politely rejected. It really has began to frustrate me.
I would like to say thanks to those who have been great to me since I arrived:
Smoggy - A great friend who I have laughed and joked with from day one. My deep thanks, Helen, you've been great. I shall continue talking on msn with you. You are perfection.
Ichbinscissors61 - This guy is fucking hilarious. Even when in a bad mood, he never takes it out on me and is alwys friendly and jokey. My thanks, Andrew, we shall continue our hilarious Raikov convos on msn.
Gene - You're a funny little bastard. A great poster too.
Mikey - Great to talk about general stuff with.
Tamashi - You're a moany bastard, but you stink of cool, you Japanese bastard! Seriously though, I apologise for the things I said, and I am sad that it turned out like this. You're a great admin, the best, so carry on being the best.
MGS. - We joined at similar times, have a similar post count, we're like twins! You're a great member, good luck for the future.
Helikaon - Extremely helpful from the day I joined.
Here are some others:
Null, Snake Liquid, Shyne bryght, Solid Snake 52, Kalash, Konoha, Ultsol, Bazzer and many, many more. THANK YOU TSF! I love ya!
Here are the people I haven't known for long, but have been alright anyway:
micster(I'm sorry)
Young Snake
Skywalker
and more.
Thanks for being so great, TSF.
By the way, my older brother David has taken a keen interest in these forums, he may join soon.
THANK YOU, MGSF.
Wilson.

Listen carefully, there are so many people on this forum that it's hard to care what people think. You can have your views against homosexuality, and that's fine as long as you're not expressing your views negatively - like cussing out micster on MSN after he says something gay. I mean, fuck, I say a lot of gay shit, too, but hardly anybody questions me about it.
You see, there's this thing in this great wide world of ours called a "joke". Much of this humour on the internet is derived from stupid little gay jokes, and that is just something you're gonna have to deal with as an internet user. I mean, I was just like you once - in my infinite ignorance/arrogance I attacked a few people because they said something homo-erotic, and you know all that earned me? Hatred. I was an idiot. But, dude, if I'm to prove anything here, it's that we live and learn as individuals; mistakes are a vital part of the learning ability. Now, look at me - in this day and age, I've become the very thing I thought was so wrong; imagine that?!
In the end, and like I said before, aggressive homophobia looses you a fair bit of respect... it's okay to have your own beliefs, but don't try to force them on to others, or to belittle others because of them. It just isn't on.

I'll be bunt here, but hear me out - people couldn't really give a crap about you on the forum; just like in real life, where complete strangers ignore you on the streets, people aren't going to let a trivial thing trouble them for too long. Basically, whilst you have been flamed for having some crazy views on the world of Metal Gear Solid, it doesn't account for shit, in the end.
Nevertheless, it's good you realised you were a bit overbearing, but just because some Trevor on the internet tells you you're a wanker or whatever doesn't mean you have to believe it, nor do you have to take everything to heart when it comes to random members of an internet forum! Trust me, I have, again, been down that road - it's daft to take shit like that.
Also, you seem to think that everything written is gospel to the person writing it; sadly, however, the written form is a poor communicator of intent - its hard to tell when someone is being sarcastic just from the words alone. Many of the windmills you have been chasing have sprung up from jokes and glib comments that you have taken to heart. You need to learn to read between the lines... when you figure that skill out you will find the internet a lot more fun.
Just settle down; come back. Before long you'll be one of us and saying 'damn noobs' whenever some newbie rocks up with a bag of half-baked theories or criticises someone's sexual orientation.

Cakes.
Let's all eat some cakes.
MGS. - May 9, 2008 03:41 PM (GMT)
Don't judge him hard Tam. You may have the same language but your beliefs, boundaries, 'joke' limits, nurture and maybe culture are different.
He is young and he doesn't have the same sense of humor you or other guys have about homosexuality. I didn't have it too and I was having a hard time understanding all this but I 'adjusted' my self... I tried... maybe Wilson needs more time.
Aggressive homophobia or not it's something that he believes in. From the moment he doesn't express it in the forum no judgment is needed.
No one is wrong here. Both arguments are correct. Lets calm and settle this down.
Thanks for your good words Wilson and waiting for your return (I hope its soon).
Take care bro.
Johnyman - May 9, 2008 03:41 PM (GMT)
...
Meyow. Sorry to see you not getting our jokes, also sad to see you developed such a hate towards me. Can't say I'm gonna miss you.

Though personal judgment is fine; For when people joke around its fine; but when repeated insults are said with no provication then thats what I have the problems with
[1 example of many]
MGS. - May 9, 2008 03:53 PM (GMT)
@ micster
True. You have a valid point, I can't argue on that. Insults never ended up in a nice way.
I didn't knew the whole story has expanded that long outside the forum and to tell you the truth its not my damn business.
All I'm trying to do here is settle the tones down, get happy altogether and return to our ordinary lives.
I not pretending to be anyones lawyer.
Wilson - May 9, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
I just feel like a fucking prick for what I said to you, micster. I DEFINITELY don't agree with homosexuality, but that doesn't mean I have the right to insult you.
@MGS.
Thanks, mate.
@Johnyman
I don't hate you
micster - May 9, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
Aye, dont worry about it MGS. - I have nothing against you whatsoever - I think yer roxxor.

Did you read what I said? I don't judge him because I could hardly care; he has his life, I have mine. 'Sall good to me - in fact... why am I even bothering with this?

@micster: Thank you for that help and clarification.

I agree cake is a good thing.
Bye Wilson- you shouldn't listen to Tamashi hes just an oversensitive tart.
I replied your mother to him as a joke on msn and he got all pissy and blocked me, hypocrite.
Tamashi_7 - May 9, 2008 04:23 PM (GMT)
Over-sensitive and a hypocrite because I can't be fucked talking with people who exasperate me? Yeah, you're so right.
In any case, enjoy your two-week suspension since that was your third warning.
Wilson - May 9, 2008 04:30 PM (GMT)
I'm sick of looking like a fucking moron now. Even though this will make me look even stupider.
I have OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which makes me obsess over tiny things. These things can depress me and frustrate me. This is one of those things. I know it was only one fucking argument and it's only the fucking internet, but I just can't help myself, due to this pathetic disorder. THAT, is the true reason.
Hippysnake - May 9, 2008 04:31 PM (GMT)
I'm not homosexual, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with making the odd refrence here or there. Infact, I find it rather amusing.
The power of the Tam has been unleashed...
As for this OCD comment...
OCD can be overcome, you do know that...?
How?
Everytime you get the urge to argue or criticise, just turn off your computer.

I don't know how this is supposed to make you look stupider... but in any case, I can see how that has a negative effect on your behaviour. Nevertheless, just as HippySnake was saying, the disorder can be overcome - it's not impossible to break free. You just gotta train yourself into doing things and handling things a certain way, otherwise, you're just gonna get into daft arguments for utterly nothing.
There aren't really exceptions in life - you have to do things are certain way or you face the consequences of your actions. It's as simple as that. We all have our problems in life, and we all have to overcome them in our own little way.

Don't act like a fucking moron. He has a disorder, I was mean to him yes. But thanks to OCD he can't help some things he does, explains a lot really
EDIT: Sorry HS, dont wanna be rude to you or stuff. All good.
The Departed - May 9, 2008 04:42 PM (GMT)
Wilson, chill.
Just go, take a chill pill, come back whenever you want and you can pick up from there.
But in all seriousness, I'm with Tamashi on this, I think this is crap is being blown way out of proportion.
Oh, talk of gayness? I'll get Kamran.

Whilst HippySnake may have been a little blunt, he does have a point; the disorder can be overcome... it's just a matter of working at it and trying to fix yourself.
Edit:

You can't force him or 'teach' him to learn about these jokes. This is certainly up to his judgment and opinion. If he doesn't like it that's it, it's his opinion and every opinion is respected, even if it doesn't match with ours.
Homophobia isn't like an illness or anything else like that. It's simply in which beliefs a person raised and his general approach about the matter.
I don't support insulting... not at all. But if he doesn't like these kind of jokes and these kind of references and phrases thats up to him, we can't judge him on that.
QUOTE (Tamashi_7 @ May 9 2008 @ 07:02 PM)

Don't say that. It sounds like you are organizing a comma against me.
Anyway.... as I said earlier I don't want to judge anyone. This is between the people who first started it.
I don't pretend to be anyones lawyer and as far as is my concern this is the end for me in this sad story.
I would appreciated if this just stopped here because as many of you believe the forums is for having fun and not arguing for that kind of stuff and also if my name never quotes again in this.
Peace brothers... -_-
..Liquid.. - May 9, 2008 04:44 PM (GMT)
Yeah I fully agree with you Tamashi, but he should'nt have said it like he said.
Try to overcome it yes, all the better.
BosaBoss - May 9, 2008 04:51 PM (GMT)
@topic
I remember having an argument with you a few days ago, where we had different opinions and it got out of hand. I'm seeing a lot of topics by your hand here and you have a lot of views/opinions, but someone else may see things entirely different. I think it would be good for you to not hammer down (dont know how to say it in english) your view on something and give other people with other opinions a chance. Even it you don't agree with them at all. You ask a question or make a point, but if someone argues with that, you would be like "No no! That's impossible." Be more flexible. The same goes for gay people. You like them or you don't like them, but they're also just people.

I never said he had to listen to me, did I? No, I did not. Get the facts straight here.
Nevertheless, I am telling him because this is a fact of life - if you act out against people with a different sexual preference, then you're only gonna be punished in some way for it. And rightfully so.
QUOTE (MGS.)
If he doesn't like it that's it, it's his opinion and every opinion is respected, even if it doesn't match with ours.
If every opinion was respected, like you say, this wouldn't be such a big issue. The fact is, aggressive homophobia is frowned upon - we even have rules against it on this board. Therefore, no, it's not a respected opinion.
QUOTE (MGS.)

That's not even the point here! I said myself that he is entitled to his own damn opinion. Why, oh why don't people read?!
The only thing I argued against was his remarks against homosexuality. Like I've already said, you can have an opinion, but as soon as you start bad-mouthing other people, then you're in the wrong.

I'm not organizing anything against you, I just thank him because he was able to prove something that spoke louder than my words ever could.

It's ok Liquid, I know I'm a fucking moron, but so are you, and so is everyone else on this forum, and it's why I love you guys so much...
The fact is I'm blunt, just like that guy who was having problems with studying and punching his girlfriend.
My advice is the same for him as it was for Wilson-
'-Stop fucking whining and learn to deal with it.'

Lets all calm down, shouldn't we? No more insults are needed for either sides Ok?
Come on guys, just settle down.
Tamashi_7 - May 9, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
Alright - this shit is getting a little out of hand... either we cool it or this gets locked. Either way is fine with me. However, it would seem a little fucking sad that we can't give a member advice without condescending each other.
So yeah - act civil, guys...
Hippysnake - May 9, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
I did have OCD.
When I was about...15 or 16, I had terrible OCD, involving safety. Everynight, I would spend 2 to 3 hours checking the windows and doors, constantly pushing my weight up against every inch of my windows to see if it would budge, I would then hold the handle of my door down for 30 minutes, just to see if it would budge or not. I would check the cooker, to see if it was leaking, make sure the fridge was shut, that there was no intruders in the pantry, that all the plugs were taken out etc etc.
I would then climb halfway up the stairs, before going back down and doing it all over again.
I WAS that bad. Worse than yourself.
Think before you post dude.
BosaBoss - May 9, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
