Title: Splinter Cell: PT

I was considering buying this for the PC, but I am wondering how it stacks up with the Xbox version. Is their any real difference? I trust you guys more than a reviewer, so I came here first.

Im sure the PC Version will be just as good. If your PC is a good PC then im sure PT will be just as good as the X Box version.

The graphics on every game are always a bit more sweeter (could be alot depending on your pc) on the PC. Its great.

I would recommend getting it for PC, as well. I'm sure the graphics are terrific. I personally, would get it for X-box, but that's simply because I suck miserably at playing those types of game on PC.
That's the number one reason I primarily stick to RPG's on my PC.

Yeah, that's my biggest concern is that I'm so used to having a consooe controller for games like those, that it would probably be hard to adjust.

It shouldnt be a problem as on all PC games you can change the controls to what you want.
The rattled mind of bob - June 4, 2004 10:20 PM (GMT)
Yes but no matter what you change the controls to, it always feels awkward. For me anyway.

I got it for PC. Pretty disappointing game. I thought they were going to fix up Splinter Cell number ones flaws, but no. All they did was update the graphics and bring in another boring story with no twists. The shooting and Close combat need huge improvements.
Im pretty pissed off I wasted money on it.
The Splinter Cell series comes no where near Metal Gear Solid.

You can buy a controller for PC... is that an option?

Is it a decent game on its own? I don't compare stuff to MGS anymore because I know I'll never end up buying it. Also, what are some of the flaws that weren't fixed? If it's something minor like a boss is easy, I'll still buy it.

i remember getting SC for PS2 and the game was okay,...but the close combat sucked cajones.
what can a measly elbow attack do? i take Krav Maga (Israel Self Defence and Fighting) and i know for a fact that one elbow is not a very smart thing to do.
it might break the baddies jaw, but it will just get him mad and make him start shooting.
the elbow should be a 'set up' move that sets the baddie up for the finishing move, should that be an 'bartender spin' into the carartid artery choke hold or more devastating attacks or what not, but one elbow is not gonna do anything.

Some games screw up with a control pad on the PC eg. Vice City. It is really hard to control the person using it. I prefer the keyboard + mouse anyway to most games.
