Title: Rule Update

the_cobbinator - September 3, 2005 05:37 PM (GMT)
After some discussion amongst the staff, it has been decided that we are in need of some new signature guidelines. If any part of the rule needs clarification, do not hesitate to speak up.

QUOTE
Signature Rules & Guidelines

Every member is entitled to their own signature and avatar. However, bare in mind that connection speeds vary the load times for these images.

Therefore, a filesize limit of 175kb will be placed on all signatures, and staff discretion will be used to determine whether a signature is too wide or tall. What this means is that although there is no pixel-limit placed on signatures, signatures that are too wide or tall will be removed. While you are allowed to have multiple images in your signature, the filesize limit and pixel size limit apply to the combined images.

Failiure to adhere to these guidelines will first result in a verbal warning via PM, and repeated infractions will result in an actual warning.

As for avatars, the forum has an 80 x 80 size limit imposed, but we also ask you to keep your avatars below 100kb. The same warning system will be applied for avatar infractions.

I'm pretty happy with this, except for the one image part...

Could it be possible that we can have more than one image, as long as the extra image doesn't make the signature look too big?

Something like that?

micster - September 4, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)

Don't worry, another rule change is in order. As long as the images' combined filesize is no larger than 175 kb and the images don't take up too much room, they will be allowed.

@micster, your images are pushing the pixel limit a bit, but since this is a new change I'm not counting this as a verbal warning.

Could i keep my sig like this? *Puppy dog eyes*
