Title: The New Juke Box!
Description: Is up and running!

Solidus - July 13, 2004 09:45 AM (GMT)
Well you probally have noticed the music box up above the page. This is now the new Juke Box for MGS themes.

I started this last night, and now its done. So enjoy it everyone!

The only problem is that it will stop when you go to another page. But its good for when you are posting.

And thats all there is too it. I will be adding more to it, so expect it to grow.

Solidus.

P.S - If it doesnt load straight away its probably because you have never opened them before. But dont fear, it will eventually get there.

And if you think about it. If you aint got no music to listen too, you can come here and chill to the MGS themes. :thumb:

SolidSnake1MGS - July 13, 2004 10:41 AM (GMT)

RevolverOcelot19 - July 13, 2004 11:10 AM (GMT)

Solidus - July 13, 2004 11:27 AM (GMT)

:snake: 1mgs
where you get the skateboarding one!
its only in the increadibly rare black ultimate sorter.

ps the mgs3 theme is called "Abstract Camoflague" that you have above
and was from this years e3 press kit...

Revolver Ocelot - July 13, 2004 03:06 PM (GMT)
What an absolutely brill idea!

too bad, i don't have a decent computer to listen to them on....

Refluxe - July 13, 2004 05:40 PM (GMT)
Cool idea, don't know why it don't work for me.

L-5 - July 13, 2004 05:50 PM (GMT)
Aye, and it's not very helpful when you're posting.

Since it's on the same page when you refresh or click a link to one of the forums, the music stops.

A good idea I suppose, but it needs tweaking. :thumb:

I get this on every page . It's kinda starting to p*ss me off.

Solidus - July 13, 2004 07:14 PM (GMT)
Strange, very strange indeed. I dont get anything but nice music. :/

iAn - July 13, 2004 08:01 PM (GMT)
maybe if there was a 'launch jukebox' link that would open a small window instead of on the page, so the music would not be interuppted.

Leestephens - July 14, 2004 03:05 PM (GMT)
The jukebox works and loads straight away for me :D good idea solidus but at the top where the jukebox is you should have a link to one in the seperate window like iAn said

Your problem involves an ActiveX control. Basically, ActiveX is a system component, one the controls of such managing access to multimedia such as Flash videos and/or audio features. The script error occurs because ActiveX is not set to recognize the HTML Code tags that call for the jukebox. You should update your ActiveX version to the edition most recommended by your computer's manufacturer.

@Solidus:

If possible, could you make it possible to switch between songs while on the same page? Whenever I hit "Stop" and select another song, then hit "Play Track", it just proceeds with the first song I selected.

BTW, you should notify us of the ability to copy the songs onto our PC's.

1) Right-click on any blank part of the page
2) Select "View Source"
3) Scroll down until you see:
CODE
<form name="form">
<p style="text-align: center">
<select style="FONT-SIZE: 8pt; BACKGROUND:#FFFFFF; WIDTH: 250px; COLOR: #00000; font-face: verdana" name="playlist" size="1">
<option value="0">Metal Gear Solid: Main Menu</option>
<option value="1">Metal Gear Solid 2: Main Theme.</option>
<option value="2">Metal Gear Solid 2: Evasion</option>
<option value="3">Metal Gear Solid: Alert</option>
<option value="4">Metal Gear Solid:
Enclosure</option>
<option value="5">Metal Gear Solid: Main Intro Theme</option>
<option value="6">Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance : Skateboarding </option>
<option value="7">Metal Gear Solid 3: Official Soundtrack</option>
<option value="8">Metal Gear Solid: Blast Furnace</option>
<option value="9">Metal Gear Solid: Remix</option>
<option value="10">Metal Gear Solid: Hind D</option>
<option value="11">Metal Gear Solid 2 : Kill Me Now!</option>
<option value="12">Metal Gear Solid 2: Snakes Theme</option>
<option value="13">Metal Gear Solid 2: Solidus Fight.</option>

4) Using that key, look at the list below it and you will see the web address of the songs corresponding to their listed number.
5) Copy and paste those web addresses into the address bar in your browser, and your computer will download the mp3 files to a place on your hard drive.
6) To find the files' locations on your hard drive, wait for your music player to open up after D/L'ing the files and right-click on that file's name in the playlist and select "properties".
7) The location of the file on your computer will be seen in front of "Location".
8) Go to that location, and copy all the files to a folder of your choosing.

Solidus, if you don't want people to know this, PM me and I'll edit this post.

iAn - July 15, 2004 02:41 AM (GMT)
heres a ghetto way of not interupting it. just hit open new window and listen to it from there. lol

Refluxe - July 17, 2004 01:01 PM (GMT)
Yeah, nice one iAn. I'm using Opera as a main explorer and IE to play my music. :P

Daz - July 28, 2004 03:36 PM (GMT)
This is facking awesome.

Solid Fox - July 29, 2004 08:42 AM (GMT)
I have all Metal Gear Soundtracks (also the rare ones) on my pc (mp3).
So I don't need the Juke Box, It's a good idea though.
But as stated before: a seperate window would be nice.

Refluxe - July 31, 2004 10:40 AM (GMT)
Can you not press Ctrl N?

Solid Fox - July 31, 2004 10:49 AM (GMT)
That's a good idea, but it would be cooler to have a 'Juke Box' instead of a 'Juke-Box-with-the-page-you-were-looking-at-at-the-moment'.

Revolver Ocelot - August 7, 2004 11:58 AM (GMT)
haha lol.

that would be a better idea.

Liquidon Snake - August 9, 2004 01:42 AM (GMT)
Guys, you can get the songs from these locations:
  1. Metal Gear Solid Main Menu
  2. Sons of Liberty Theme
  3. MGS2 Evasion BG Music
  4. MGS Alert BG Music
  5. MGS2 "Enclosure"
  6. Twin Snakes Intro
  7. Snakeboarding/Snake Tales Credits
  8. Snake Eater
  9. Metal Gear Solid Blast Furnace BG Music
  10. Metal Gear Solid Remix
  11. Metal Gear Solid Hind-D Battle BG Music
  12. Metal Gear Solid "Kill Me Now!" by Harry-Gregson Williams
  13. Snake's Theme
  14. Sons of Liberty Solidus Battle BG Music
These were all taken directly from the Source Code of the Jukebox, and were thus legally obtained and are eligible for redistribution among those who technically already have obtained such music. In short, you can all freely take these and listen to them as you wish. Play them in MusicMatch Jukebox, WinAmp, Windows Media Player, or whatever you wish to use to listen to music on your computer. They are mp3 files, so they can be burned onto a CD at any time.

USP - August 11, 2004 01:15 PM (GMT)

Leestephens - August 12, 2004 10:21 PM (GMT)

Liquidon Snake - August 14, 2004 01:01 AM (GMT)
No problem.

Solid Fox - August 16, 2004 02:43 PM (GMT)
How about adding:

Norihiko Hibino - MGS1 Snake in VR Mission -Sneaking-
Norihiko Hibino - Tuxedo Snake

And maybe some remix's:

Jared Hudson - Metal Gear May Cry
Khalal & Nintendo Guru - Uh Oh! The Beat Have Started To Move!

Just an idea though. :thumb:

Liquidon Snake - August 18, 2004 02:20 PM (GMT)
Better yet, Solidus, you should give us that Metallica song from your Vice City Fuel vid.

gray-fox - May 26, 2005 10:57 AM (GMT)
Sorry to post in this really old topic, but why did we get rid of the Juke Box? I can remember listening to it for aggggeeees! A while ago.

Solidus - May 26, 2005 12:09 PM (GMT)
Please dont do that again. Just PM me or something.

It became useless.
