I'm looking for some freeware graphics software, the one I have at the moment is Photoplus 6, which is pretty good but the lack of effects is frustrating.

So I was wondering whether anyone uses or knows of any other freeware packages I could use. :)

Secondly, I would recommend the GIMP. It is the most powerful graphics tool avaliable, thought it is a bit tricky to learn. In any case, I'd check it out, as it is fully featured and it is free.

Cheers Cobb; I did check that topic, but I was looking for something more substantial (rather than a free sample of professional software). :)

The free samples are available as trials which (so ive heard) can be made to work without a trial.

And plus, the trials are amazing on most.
