November 16, 2005 - Your friends here at IGN.com have teamed up with the folks at Kojima Productions and Konami Digital Entertainment in a special cross-promotion with other popular North American websites in an effort to give hardcore Metal Gear fans a special "once in a lifetime" opportunity -- the opportunity to have their very own card appear in the North American version of Metal Gear AC!D 2.
Here's how it works: Ten cards will be chosen from the total number of cards submitted by the readers of the various websites (that's including those outside of IGN) and those ten people will have their name or handle appear on their designed in-game card in addition to winning a free copy of MGA2 for the PSP. This idea came out of Konami's desire to create an enhanced and special version of Metal Gear AC!D 2 for North American players.
Once we've received reader-submitted material, IGN editors will have the final say in which cards are submitted to Konami and Kojima productions, and after we submit them it will be up to Kojima and crew to decide the ultimate winners from that lot. Listed below are the rules -- These are important, by the way
# 1. Users Must choose a name for their designed card (example: Running Man, FAMAS, Cyborg Ninja, etc)
# 2.) Users Must choose their card info (example: User's Life +2--, Move 6 BLK, etc)
# 3.) Cards Must have a Metal Gear or Kojima Productions theme (no Rumble Roses, Penny Arcade, George Bush, or anything else unrelated submissions will be accepted)
# 4.) Card cost and descriptions Must be realistic (No "Kills all opponents" or "Move 18 BLK cards" type portrayals
# 5.) Users should ideally submit an image file for their original card along with their descriptions (original Photoshop images, piecemeal Windows Paint images, and photos are okay.)
# 6.) Users should ideally choose their card type (example: Character, Weapon, Item, etc)
Here's the most important rule of all, though -- All submissions must be received by 11:59 PM (Pacific Standard Time) on Sunday, November 20. There's not much time left, so make sure you hurry!

You must be 13 years-old or older to participate. IGN will contact you should your submission be selected to move on to Konami's selection round.
