We at MGSForums are in need of some new staff, this is for the position of “Moderator”

We will possibly be looking for one or two Global Moderators, but will also be looking for people who can Moderate single or a few forums each. We are in need of staff to work on the MGS Forum area, SolidSnake1MGS plays the role good when a matter arises there, but he wont be able to manage on his own. And with about half of the Staff in different time zones, its kind of difficult to sort a problem straight away if theres no staff.

Please include which forum you would like to apply for and why you would be good for the role.

Same goes if you wish to apply for a Global Moderator.

You will need to be:

• Loyal to the forum
• Active
• Must respect other Staff
• Must respect our ways of Moderation
• Trustworthy
• Having Past or Current experience would be a plus

Please only PM “Staff Recruitment” as this will save a lot of confusion and will speed things up a bit. The Staff will notify members who we think will do a good job at being a Mod here at MGSForums. Please do not PM us asking if you have been accepted. Also, please be patient, it might take a little while to go through the Applications depending on the amount we receive.

I didn't apply because I think admins and mods should contact members who are likely to fullfill this job how it should be. Now we get people who want to be moderator instead of people who would be good moderators. It isn't something you could say about yourself I think.

We would do it that way, but that makes it too easy to overlook somone who may have wanted the job who was better qualified. The application, so to speak, also gives the 'fence-sitters' a chance to make a case for themselves as to why they should become a moderator.

LOL, as if post count's really that important.

When someone is new in a forum, the first thing he/she does is post (spam) a lot.
The think a higher post count will increase their popularity, they think they'll gain respect that way.

A stupid thought of course.

Well... let's say AT THE MOMENT I THINK that I'm not worthy ENOUGH.
I think I have a disease called 'depression' which is really a problem, because I can't function properly because everywhere I look, i see imperfection and naivity.

In fact, that's true. Almost everybody is imperfect and naive. But I can be really angry at that fact at the moment.

I'm sorry I told you all this. It's a personal thing I wouldn't say on a forum, but I think this feeling will go away in a few months.


This way I think that IF I would be a moderator, there would be to much people who work on my nerves. And that could lead to a BIG banning disaster. :haha: :haha:

I post around here cause I like it and I have loads of time.

i'm going to be honest, i have little time.

but the reason i can make it on here so much is because a lot of my work includes being on the comp.

yet whenever i have a break (1/2 to an hour) i come on here :D
