Title: Dose MGA2 tie directly into MGA?

Solid_Machine - March 7, 2006 03:17 AM (GMT)
Didn't have my psp when acid came out and have still yet to beat it.

Should I just go right on to the new animations and three dee goodness or play the first to get the basics?

La Li Lu Le Lo - March 7, 2006 05:27 AM (GMT)
I wish I knew, but I suggest getting the first game before playing the sequel. It might clarify a few things, and perhaps even give you a better idea on what to expect.

Snake Liquid - March 9, 2006 01:33 AM (GMT)
I think they are connected. You should probably get the first then get the second. But if you dont care then that is what matters.

Solid_Machine - March 10, 2006 07:07 AM (GMT)
Got MGA off of Ebay and look forward to buying a new MGA2 when it's cheap.

Solide18 - March 10, 2006 08:07 AM (GMT)
I heard that MGA2 contains perfect tutorial missions. So i think no...

hmm... well actually every Kojima's games has almost perfect tutorials, think about it.
Everything what you have to do in game is explained very well in everu game from Kojima.

Actually, no. You don't have to do that.

Because it isn't MGA2 it's MGA2. and it means that Acid2 isn't really a sequel. so the story and everything doesn't have to continue in this game.

Solid Snake The Great - March 15, 2006 01:02 PM (GMT)
MGA2 and MGA are not connected in any way. Possibly the same main chracter, Solid Snake, but I heard that you will have a new sidekick, like Teliko. All new missions and story-line.

Yes, you are right. Venus is the new girl in Acid2 that helps solid snake to complete his mission.
anyway, there is still Teliko in the game.
Here are all the Acid2 characters.

So you see Teliko is back! B)

btw, the new girl looks just like Alice Hazel, or should i say nr. 16! ;)

Patriot_vamp - March 15, 2006 02:17 PM (GMT)

It's just one of the (freak!!) bosses is MGA2

I would have thought they would have disposed of Teliko in Acid 2. I don't know why but I didn't really find her at all helpful. She dies too easily. Especially when you're fighting Metal Gear.

hmmhh... well my opinion is that there is no chance to get killed in battle against Metal Gear, it's too easy. For Snake just pack much as Stinger missiles and rations.
And for Telikos just pack much as stealth cards so the "dogs" can't see you.

La Li Lu Le Lo - March 15, 2006 09:55 PM (GMT)
What the hell is up with all of these mutated bosses? The series is known for its amazing boss fights, however Konami should consider creating characters resembling Liquid and Ocelot.

Yeah, Snake can't really die in that mission because its way too easy. I mean, Metal Gear doesn't even aim for you. It aims for whatever it wants to, the ground and the boxes. It's quite annoying actually, it's just too easy.

Fox Hound - March 16, 2006 09:40 PM (GMT)
I heard this is an difrent universe from the metal gear solid series

Yes, you are right.
Acid -series does not have anything to do with official Metal Gear -timeline.

But that doesn't mean it isnt good game.

In my opinion Acid1 is one of the best metal gears there is. You should try it. Especially i can suggest it for those who liked MGS2's twisting story. ^_^

Also, Solid Snake is retired when this game is set. (2016)

Isn't he retired like... all the time.

1. In the beginning of MG2: SS"
2. In the beginning of the MGS1
3. After MGS1...
:D

Solid Snake The Great - March 17, 2006 07:07 PM (GMT)
Probably, I don't really pay much attention to the cut-scenes. I just noticed it in Acid because it was on the back of the game box.

ThomasF - March 18, 2006 03:59 AM (GMT)
Somebody on the Kojima team screwed up the numbers
for Ac!d,MGS2 was in 2007 and 2009 and there was a huge
cliffhanger, yet Ac!d takes place 7 years after the biggest
cliffhanger in the series and yet nothing is said or there's
no mention at all?

The Ac!d series truly is a different universe, yet I still like
it.

thefourthwall - April 12, 2006 07:49 PM (GMT)
Actually the main charachter in this game "snake" isn't solid snake.

I'm serous, you find out later in the game.

ThomasF - April 12, 2006 07:51 PM (GMT)
 ...really,I wouldn't know because I don't play Ac!d
but........is that true Ac!d fans?Or am I easily conned?

thefourthwall - April 12, 2006 07:54 PM (GMT)
The two games are connected...kinda. They barely talk about anything that happened in metal gear acid 1. But the main charachters are different (even our beloved snake is a different person....kinda, play the game and you'll see). And teliko is not in the game ( I guess they created that teliko art because at first they wanted to put her in the game)
