Leviathan Angel Gunmen Scene 5
Scene 5: Overcoming the L.A.G – Ambush Alley
The team, apart from the Mk.II are gathered around waiting. The Mk.II comes into view.
Otacon:Sorry I took so long. The mk.II’s picking some pretty unusual signals. Nothing seems to be connecting properly.
Johnny:I’m feeling a little nervous about this, guys.
Soldiers:(Each sentence is said by a different person)Yeah. Me too. I know what you mean. Hah, pansy! We can do it. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Camera shows one soldier running around aimlessly in a C Box. He stops and gets out.
Soldier:Sorry. I just never realised how fun these things are! Look! I feel invincible!
He starts running around in the box again. The camera switches to Meryl who aims her gun. She shoots. The box soldier dies.
Meryl:Damnit! The box does NOT make you invincible! I will not tolerate idiots in my unit! If any of you want to use a box, use it right! Got it?
Soldiers:Yes commander!
Snake:Otacon, can you go on ahead with your stealth on and take a look at what we’re up against here?
Otacon:Sure. Just give me a second.
The Mk.II heads off-screen. There is an awkward silence.
Snake:So, uh… how’ve you been Meryl?
Meryl:Not too bad. The marriage has been good to us. Keeps the taxes manageable. How about you?
Snake:Pretty good. I've been trying a lot of new things. I've kinda got a little... uh... gambling problem now though. It's all thanks to Vegas.
Meryl:Vegas?
Snake:Yeah. My little chat with Big Boss really got me thinking. Why not enjoy life to the most while you still can. So I started to exploring some of the richer areas.
Meryl:Yeah, but Vegas? Really? So how much did you lose?
Snake:…
Meryl:Snake?
Snake:… uh... about... half a million... in one night
Meryl:What?! Half a million in one night?! How much overall?
Snake:...
Meryl:You’ve changed, Snake.
Otacon:Ok, Snake. I’ve found them… Oh no.
Snake:What is it?
Otacon:Oh god no!
Meryl:What?
Otacon:This is far worse than I ever thought!
Soldiers:What is it? Oh shit etc (one soldier) hehehehehe diarrhoea
Snake:Surely it can’t be worse than Dead Cell or the Beauty and the Beast unit.
Otacon:It is worse. Much worse! It all makes sense now! The vanishing! The shooting through walls, all of it! With a name like that, I should’ve realised!
Snake:Otacon! What’s going on!
Otacon:They’re… LAGGERS!
The camera shows the L.A.G. The leader is standing in the instructor pose with the others saluting him, they then start to run about and occasionally teleporting slightly
Soldier: Oh shit! What do we do?
Meryl:Stay focused! We can do this. Skill is better than a loose connection!
Snake:She’s right. Believe in yourselves and you’ll come out on top.
Meryl:Ready? Let’s move!
The team move in and a gunfight breaks out. Various bits are shown where the L.A.G use their lag powers to overcome the team. The L.A.G keep lagging, but eventually start dying too. The mk.II gets disabled. At the end of the battle, the only ones left are Snake, Meryl, Johnny (unconscious) and the L.A.G leader, who is on the ground with Snake's M4 pointed at him. Meryl goes to wake up Johnny whilst Snake interrogates the L.A.G leader.
L.A.G Leader:You… you are truly skilled.
Snake:Why do you insist on doing this?
L.A.G Leader:Doing what?
Snake:Lagging! What makes you think you can ruin the game for others with your loose connections? They should’ve kicked you when they had the chance!
L.A.G Leader:What makes us lesser than you? You think that just because you’re privileged enough to have a good, strong connection, that somehow that makes you more of a man than I?
Snake:…
L.A.G Leader:I thought so. You can kill me here, but this will not be over. There are thousands of us, you cannot stop us all. The lag will reign supreme!
Snake:We’ll see about that.
Snake shoots and kills the L.A.G leader. BLACKOUT. The words "A message to KONAMI. Sort the lag out!" come on screen.

Leviathan Angel Gunmen Scene 4
Scene 4: The Approach – Tomb Of Tubes
The team are shown gathered around a reasonably well-lit area. (Don't worry, I do have a specific bit in mind
Otacon: Ok, guys listen up. At the other end of this sewer is a ladder that leads right by the L.A.G hideout. This place will surely be heavily guarded.
Snake: Heavily guarded huh?
Otacon: … How many times Snake?! How many times?!
Snake: Sorry. I just… sorry.
Meryl: Ok team, you all know what to do. Eye contact!
The team head off and we see various shots of them taking out enemies. They gather around the swimming area.
Otacon: The ladder’s just on the other side of this wall. According to the map, there’s no way around without state security clearance. The only way seems to be going under it. It looks like you’re gonna have to swim through all that sewage. You gonna be able to handle the smell?
Meryl: After living with Johnny, the smell of raw sewage is nothing.
Everyone laughs except Johnny.
Johnny: Aww come on guys. Give me a break.
Snake: Let’s get going.
Otacon: The Mk.II can’t swim, so I’ll see if I can hack my way through the security system. Wait for me on the other side.
Snake: Alright. See ya there.
Mk.II leaves and the others all start swimming through the sewage. They resurface on the other side and start climbing the ladder. BLACKOUT

Leviathan Angel Gunmen Scene 3
Scene 3: The Team Effort – Urban Ultimatum
Meryl, Johnny, Snake, Mk.II and Meryl’s team are shown gathered at the base of the TSNE GAKO building.
Meryl:Ok, you all know the plan. Now let’s move out!
Meryl signals to move and everyone heads off. Snake alone. Mk.II alone. Johnny alone. Meryl and 2 soldiers. 3 more soldiers. The camera shows the entrance to the sewers, guarded by 3 guards armed with M4s; Hoskins, Marsh & Connelly. 2 of the guards are idly chatting, while the third is constantly looking for enemies
Hoskins:So, anybody see Family Guy last night?
Marsh:Oh I love Family Guy! I just loved that bit with chicken fight.
Hoskins: Yeah, the chicken fight thing’s awesome. Did you ever see that Star Wars spoof they did?
Marsh:Nah, but I’ve heard about it. What’s it like?
Hoskins:Awesome! You should totally get it. Herbert’s Obi-Wan and Chris is Luke
Marsh:For real? Oh man that sounds funny. I gotta watch that. Hey did you ever see that one where…
Connelly:Would you guys shut it! We’re supposed to be keeping an eye out here! Only retards watch that show anyway!
Hoskins:Calm down you uptight jackass. We’re just trying to pass the time.
Connelly points his rifle at Hoskins’s head. Hoskins salutes, afraid to move.
Connelly:(Pissed off) What was that?
Hoskins:(Scared) Nothing… uh… sir.
Connelly:No! Say it again! What did you call me?
Marsh:Hey, come on now Jerry. This is hardly good for the mission.
Connelly:Shut it Marsh! I wanna hear him tell me I’m an uptight jackass again. Say it!
Hoskins:You’re… you’re an…
Connelly:Don’t doubt me! I’ll do it! SAY IT AGAIN!
Hoskins:You’re an uptight jackass.
A knocking sound is heard from round the corner. All 3 guards turn and aim at it.
Marsh:You guys hear that?
Connelly:Yeah. Hoskins, check it out and maybe I won’t kill you after all!
Hoskins: Y… yes sir.
Hoskins slowly creeps around and we see the Mk.II electrocute him. Marsh looks
around and spots a box. Someone off-screen shoots it once, making the box twitch.
Marsh:Hey, Jerry. Did you see that?
Connelly:See what?
Marsh:That box over there. I swear it moved!
Connelly:Then go check it out.
Marsh:Yes sir (starts heading towards it)
Connelly:Hey Thompson, we’re getting a bit of suspicious activity around here. You see anything? Over
Camera shows a sniper, Thompson, on top of the white building.
Thompson:Nope, nothing. It all looks clear to me. Over
Connelly:Okay, well keep a look out. Over and out.
Thompson:Keep a look out my ass. I swear that guy reports ‘suspicious activity’ if there’s anything as simple as too much rain. Such a moron. (gets out a playboy and starts flicking the pages)
Camera shows Marsh nearing the box.
Connelly:Hey Marsh, Hoskins. You guys find anything? Over
Marsh:Nothing yet. Over
A soldier pounces from the grass and CQC grabs Marsh and pulls him off screen.
The camera shows Connelly again.
Connelly:How about you Hoskins? Over. (big pause) Hoskins, do you read?
The camera shows Meryl climbing the ladder to the white building and sneaks up on Thompson, who is still flicking through the playboy, while 2 soldiers do the same from the other side. They close in and aim closely at his head.
Meryl:Tut! Men!
The camera switches to Connelly again.
Connelly:Hoskins?! Dammit we’ve lost Hoskins! Marsh, Thompson, alert status! Over! (big pause) Over?! Damn!
Johnny sneaks around the corner, but is spotted by Connelly.
Connelly:Got ya!
Connelly runs towards Johnny and CQC rifle-slams him down, then aims at him.
Connelly:How many of you are there? SPEAK!
Snake:Freeze!
Connelly puts his hands up as Snake steps into view. Camera switches to Meryl on roof with soldiers and dead Thompson.
Meryl:Status report!
Snake:All clear. Let’s get moving.
Meryl:Got it.
Camera switches to the bottom of the underground ladder as Snake and soldiers start climbing down. BLACKOUT.

Leviathan Angel Gunmen Scene 2
Scene 2: The Second Reunion – Coppertown Conflict
The scene opens with Snake waking up inside the building, surrounded by soldiers, Meryl & Johnny
Snake: Wha… where am I? Meryl?!
Meryl: How many times is that now? It’s not really that hard to sneak up on the legend these days is it?
Snake: You’re the leader of the L.A.G?
Meryl: Don’t be an idiot.
Snake: Well if you’re not one of them, then what is this about?
Meryl: Snake, there was a time when I felt I was destined to be with you forever, but that didn’t work out. Then we met up again in the middle east and I assumed we could at least stay friends, but again, that didn’t work out.
Snake: Didn’t it?
Meryl: No Snake! It didn’t! If you were a true friend, you wouldn’t have disappeared. How can you even pretend to be my friend when you didn’t show up!
Snake: Didn’t show up?
Meryl: My wedding day, Snake. Ed was there. Jonathon was there. Otacon was there. Hell, even Drebin put in an appearance! But where were you?
Snake: I.. uh… had something to take care of.
Meryl: That really hurt me Snake. REALLY hurt me. And now, I’m gonna hurt you.
Snake: (Panicking) What?! Meryl?!
Meryl: Guys. Get out.
All soldiers leave the room
Snake: What are you gonna do to me?
Meryl: I’m gonna make you feel true pain. You’re gonna be stuck right here in this room with it.
Snake: With what?
Meryl: Behold Snake! Even you cannot withstand the might of… Johnny’s diarrhoea!
Snake: Is that it?
Johnny: You ready Snake? Here we go!
Johnny craps himself and begins walking backward toward Snake
Snake: Oh god! Oh god no! Meryl! Akiba! Stop!
Meryl: (Laughing) Ok Johnny. I think he’s suffered enough.
Johnny: (Laughing) Yeah me too.
Snake: Wait. You’re not trying to hurt me?
Johnny: Nah, that was all just a joke.
Snake: Oh thank god. (Now laughing too) That was worse than the torture Ocelot gave me at Moses.
Meryl: Snake, joking aside. There is a real reason we stopped you going after the L.A.G. It’s too dangerous to go alone. Let us go with you. My new unit, RATHOUND has been doing research on these guys too. We think you’re gonna need our help.
Screams and gunshots are heard from outside
Meryl: Huh? Report! What’s going on out there?
Camera shows soldiers shooting wildly around, before falling unconscious.
Meryl: Johnny, go take a look.
Johnny: Right away!
Johnny runs round the corner, but almost immediately falls back into view
unconscious. Meryl and Snake ready their weapons as the Mk.II comes around the
corner.
Snake: Otacon! Was that all you?
Otacon: Snake? Meryl? What’s going on?
Snake: Otacon! Did you kill those guys out there?
Otacon: What? No. You know me. I could never bring myself to kill someone. They’re just knocked out.
Snake: Good.
Otacon: Who are they?
Snake: I’ll explain later. First we gotta wake them all up and head back to that sewer entrance.
Snake and Meryl start waking people. BLACKOUT

Leviathan Angel Gunmen Scene 1
Scene 1: The Solo Mission – Urban Ultimatum
The scene opens with Snake and the Mk.II near the ground of the TSNE GAKO building
Snake:Otacon, are you sure this is the place?
Otacon:Positive. Sunny double-checked the info we received by hacking into the FBI herself.
Snake:The FBI? If they know about these guys then why haven’t they already dealt with it?
Otacon:They’ve tried, but it seems every agent they sent in left garbled messages full of screams back and then disappeared without a trace. That’s why they were so desperate to get you back into the action.
Snake:Without a trace, huh? Any details on what they saw?
Otacon:Well, just a little. One guy said his bullets refused to hit them.
Snake:His bullets refused to hit? Could it be the same technology Fortune was using at the Big Shell?
Otacon:I doubt it. That was Patriot technology. Every trace of them and their work was annihilated by FOXALIVE. Also, one agent said the guys just kept disappearing right in front of him and another claimed to have been shot in the arm from the other side of a wall. I suspect they have gotten hold of stealth camouflage.
Snake:Stealth camouflage?
Otacon:You’ll be fine Snake. Remember, you’re… The Shit!
Snake:It really makes me uncomfortable when you say that. It’s just not like you Otacon.
Otacon:I’m sorry Snake. I just get so excited when I think about some of the things you’ve done. Anyway, this group is apparently calling itself the Leviathan Angel Gunmen.
Snake:Leviathan Angel Gunmen?
Otacon:Yeah. No idea on what it means. At least there’s no Metal Gear to deal with this time.
Snake:No Metal Gear huh?
Otacon:Snake, do you have repeat EVERYTHING I say?
Snake:Sorry, it just.. uh.. helps me to remember is all.
Otacon:Whatever. Anyway, we should get moving. The entrance to the Angels’ hideout is in the sewers here.
Snake:The sewers?
Otacon:You’re doing it again!
Snake:Sorry. So where is the entrance to the sewers?
Otacon:We’re close. Just slightly south of here. You see that big white building?
Snake:Yeah.
Otacon:Well it’s just on the other side of that.
Snake:Okay, let’s get moving.
Snake begins sneaking toward the entrance to the sewers. The camera shows FPS
view of soldiers aiming at Snake. Meryl’s arm is shown signalling to go. Snake
sneaks past a corner and is CQC-slammed by a hiding guard. BLACKOUT
Otacon:Snaaaaaaaaaaaake!
