Right, this forum is for announcing that you have joined the forum and such, as well as announcing that it's somebody's birthday. But, there needs to be a few rules regarding this, as a few uneeded and pointless topics are being made in here recently.

So, from now on, here's a few rules:

  • If somebody joins the forum, it is up to THEM to make a topic announcing this. Don't look at the newest member registered on the forum home and just make one for them - they might not even come here again so leave it up to them to make it.
  • If you look on the forum navigation and see that it's somebody's birthday, only make a topic about it if you know them, or know that they are regular here and will be active to see it. Don't just make one for every single person who's birthday is indicated - they may have already left the forum and not be there to even view the topic anyways.
Also, here's another thing:

  • As of now, this forum no longer increases your cumulative post count. This is because pretty much every single post or topic made here is simply "Welcome" or "Congrats". This isn't needed, it's just a load of spam, basically. So, welcome people all you want, congratulate them, get to know them, introduce yourself to them, whatever ... but it will no longer add to your post count.
And, one more thing for the Organizations:

  • DO NOT post things such as "join (insert org name here)" in a member announcement topic! I absolutely cannot stress this enough. You may PM them, add them to an Instant Messenger, whatever, but DO NOT advertise your organization in a topic! We will clamp down on this from now on - it will no longer be let slide - you have been warned.
That's about it. Thanks for your time. :)
