I got Al Michaels fever!
Finished off watching the Rocky blu ray collection I got. Rocky I to VI. III and VI are awesome. Not much of a movie guy, but I eventually get into them sooner or later. Gonna check out the bonus disc I guess.

Brick is an amazing film.

I'm going to be watching Invention of Lying later on I think. I watched Invictus yesterday, with Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman. Blatant Oscar bait but still a great film. Freeman is god.

Leary needs to die.

The fact Spacey has appeared in a film with him makes me sad inside.

Why? This wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that he shares a few subject matters with the late Bill Hicks would it? Or just because he's generally a cock? All such faults are immediately cancelled out by Rescue Me.

Currently watching 24 Season 5. Awesome stuff, pretty much the last time 24's writing team were working at the perfect level, after 5 they started really going off board, luckily they're almost back to standard with season 7 but even that was iffy at points (i.e. Dubaku's girlfriend subplot, the White House siege [while an awesome sequence it really doesn't make any sense at all]).

Just finished watching The Invention of Lying.

I have to say, it is a excellent comedy with a very well executed message. Not your typical comedy, and also some very awesome cameo's you wouldn't expect.

Yeah it annoys me too, admittedly a few of Leary's smoking skits are similar to Hicks' but how different is one pro-smoking joke going to be to another?

Rescue Me is really great, though I am pretty biased considering I'm a FDNY brat and it's so true to life (in terms of dynamics within a firehouse and NY firefighter personalities and viewpoints) that I'm always drawn back to it.

Currently watching My Family.

/\ yea..I've heard that Rescue Me is pretty true to form concerning the FDNY.

and yea..truly..i agree..smoking, drinking and drug jokes aren't going to be that radically different. It just so absurd. I can't watch a Leary video on youtube without some hater having to bring up Hicks for the billionth time.

I just got through watching a B movie called The Long Hair Of Death lol i fell asleep on it it was so bad. I got a set of DVD's for Christmas called "100 Horror movie classics"
...watching terrible B movies is one of my guilty pleasures..i love the complete absurdity and hilarity of it.

Just saw Up.
What a fantastic movie, imaginative and deep. Had a bit of everything, great movie, thoroughly enjoyed it.
I love that movie! One of the best animated films I have ever watched. Some parts really made me cry, and I wasn't expecting it to be sad at all.

Oh yeah just they're just vague similarities. Like the entirity of his smoking Jokes? And of the top of my head, the John Lennon joke, Jim Fixx / Keith Richards jokes, Judas Priest skit, and others I've yet (not that I'm going to) to look up. And that's just from Hicks, I'd bet my last tenner on there being other comedians.

Not that this is the place for that discussion. And I've yet to see Rescue Me. I have heard via word of mouth it is worth a watch though.

Anyway, Family Guy - Ocean's Three and a Half. Not a bad episode.
