if you're asking about prison break, yes it's very good. it's a 4 season crime drama, action thriller. it's about a guy who goes to a prison on purpose to break himself and his brother out. His brother is on death row for killing the vice president's brother that he claims didn't do. it's very interesting and suspenseful.
ah, prison break! I would say that it is much more of a thriller rather than action at first, though later seasons are a bit different. without spoiling too much, I'll say that the first season is absolutely brilliant and a must-see regardless. the second season is pretty good too, but after that it goes downhill in my opinion. season three is okay, at best, and season 4 is as disappointing as MGS4 but if you have watched the first three you'll probably have to watch the last as well, if only to see how it ends.
the show starts like Tollhouse described it, and I won't spoil the rest. if you have seen "Escape from Alcatraz" with Clint Eastwood, you will see a lot of similarities. in fact, I suspect that this movie was the primary inspiration for the show. and if you haven't seen it (the movie) check that one out as well. it's a bit old, but still awesome.
yeah i agree that the 3rd and 4th seasons of prison break were the weakest but they had their moments. I heard the 3rd season was short because of the writer's guild strike we had. that's why it was only like 13 episodes while the other seasons had 22-24
season three still felt like the longest season though and unlike the first they didn't have to come up with smart plans all the time since they didn't even had to stay in their cells... it was so boring, felt like barely anything happened until they actually escaped. also disappointed that they discarded Mahones (my favourite character!) mental problems completely. we knew he was unstable in season 2, and I had hoped the prison in season 3 would finally break him to the point of madness. I think that would have been a very interesting (if tragic) character development. it seems they also forgot about his intelligence when he joined up with Scofield. such a shame.

oh wow i forgot all about mahone's drug problem. shit did they really just pretend it never happened? lol i still don't understand why the company's surgery didn't cure michael since he was going to die from the brain tumor. did they not cure him on purpose?

more or less, yeah. he was really close to losing it in Sona, but then he got some drugs from T-Bag as a temporary solution. but he was still always "on the edge", so to speak. and then it was just never really expanded upon in season 4, and as I remember it, they seemed to just ignore that completely. probably because the fight against 'the company' in season 4 was more important and delving into Mahones mental issues would have taken too much time perhaps. still a waste of a good character though.
as for Michael, I'm not sure what you mean? the surgery didn't work, it just gave him more time. I'm doing an 'inception' here: SPOILER within a SPOILER: in case you haven't seen it, they released a short movie (if it can be called that?) entitled "the final break" or something like that after the show had ended. and there you will see what happened to him.

yes i've seen that final break movie. I hated how they made the ending two different episodes. i can't believe michael died. that was so sad
It was under my impression that the company's surgery was supposed to cure michael. they mentioned the first time they performed the surgery that their patient lived a long and healthy life and Michael didn't even last a year after his procedure. I guess he just got unlucky?...

yeah, probably. I don't think they intentionally screwed up the operation since they still needed Michael alive at the time, if I remember right. I didn't mind him dying though, but I'm strange because I like the dark and tragic endings the best ^^ in my opinion, they should have ended the series with season 2. one season in prison, one on the run. there was really no need to continue past that point. what do you think?

sad endings like that make a series better imo.
yeah i thought season 2 was really exciting. the 8 convicts running around the country while Mahone is hunting them down. I think the season needed to deal with the company more. If season 2 would have ended with Michael, Sarah, Lincoln, and LJ just moving into Panama with all that money would have been too perfect. The company needs to be dealt with. So i would say they shouldn't have ended at season 2. they could have taken out the plot of season 3 and went to straight on taking down the company. i kind of wish that Don Zelf didn't arrest everyone and make them take steal scylla just to take and it and sell it for himself making him perhaps the biggest douche of the show. it would have been more interesting for the group to form up their own plans and take down the company themselves without having to end up being backstabbed by a guy who threatens to put a bullet in their heads when he hears something he doesn't like.

hm, that is true. I thought 'the company' was a bit over the top, despite the awesome Patriots-feel it had. another thing, Abruzzi. one of the best characters in the show (not just saying that because he's swedish) got killed off way too soon. just imagine how his rivalry with T-Bag could have evolved! not to mention he would have been extremely useful for them, if he would agree to help them later on.

yeah i noticed Abruzzi got killed off really early in the season but I didn't think that was a bad thing. it was unpredictable. we were thinking haywire was going to be the first to go and yet i have no idea how he managed to live unnoticed for that long. i kind of feel that abruzzi and T-Bag's rivalry kind of ended after they broke out. They didn't really have much of a reason to kill the other off since they were separated. Now if Abruzzi happened to be on the few that heard about the money in Utah I could see T-Bag having a reason to confront him. Personally i think it was kind of ridiculous for all those other guys to all go to Utah for the cash. If I escaped from prison, I would leave the country right away and I wouldn't risk my freedom by digging up someone's garage even for a billion in cash. lol Which reminds me, since they lost the cash they forgot all about Cooper's daughter whom they were going to give a percentage of it to.
rain, i think prison break needs its own topic. lol

Abruzzi cut off T-Bags hand, T-Bag almost killed Abruzzi by slitting his throat. with that kind of history, just imagine what they would to to get the money! altough, I just realized that Abruzzi was already a wealthy crimelord, was he not? he might not even have been interested in finding the money.
hm, I dunno... if I had just escaped a prison I would probably be pretty desperate to get that money. it would make things easier in the long run, me thinks... I don't remember anything about a daughter though
