Went to see Elysium.
One of the most disappointing films I've seen in theaters next to The Dark Knight Rises.

Forced and not so Subtle Message.
The Entire Film I wanted to ask the Director why he feels Shaky Cam makes the movie better.
(Seriously, the technology in the film is stunning when you get a good look at it. Same problem with the editing in Pacific Rim, they cut away from the beautiful looking Monsters so soon)
Manipulative. When someone wants to make the Villain scarier, and the audience weep, kill off the Children Characters. I'm really sick of that.
Pacing was way off. Felt rushed.
Why does the Villain need a Samurai Sword?
So Blurry.
And it had Average reviews, not sure how.

Maybe someone who did enjoy it, wants to explain there viewpoint.

That Place In The Roche
I began watching American Horror Story. The plot seemed fine so far, pretty enticing, but the damn editing seems just so stupid. Too many fast-cuts, too many cuts to the same scene, the camera rarely seems focused. I guess it's supposed to cause tension.

I both love and hate that show. Mostly because of the dumbasses who hear "Well it's worth (insert solid chunk o change" and then sell it for $100 bucks. My inner shyster coming out.

Went and saw the latest Edgar Wright film.
Entitled "The World's End".
Compared to it's predecessors like "Hot Fuzz" and Shaun of the Dead". I'd rank it somewhere in the Middle.

It was overall a pretty fun film.
Makes a Great Action Comedy really.
As the wit is indeed very British and the choreography is surprisingly good. (Like really good)

Something I wasn't expecting is how uncomfortably Sad and Unsettling it can be.
Some of the best Acting by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost I've ever seen.
Was every bit of fun as it was emotional.

(The Emotional Side of the film is a bit more subtle, as you'll end up pitying our main Protagonist then Relating to him)

The 1989 Keaton Batman, much more entertaining than any of Nolans IMO.
