I saw "Singin' In The Rain" today. I'm a guy who hates romantic comedies and musicals. That movie nailed it on every level, it was absolutely fantastic. Nothing sappy, nothing all too over-the-top. Just straight and no-nonsense. Definetely one of the best movies I've ever seen.
It's my favorite musical of all time. Single handedly inspired me to learn how to Tap Dance. Also ranks as my tenth favorite film. May I ask what your favorite songs/numbers were?
Other than the title one of course, I quite like "Moses Supposes" and "Good Morning." Just breathtaking what they could do back then. (Not saying they can't now, it's just we don't seem to make the effort to do so anymore)

I watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless" Mind and "Donnie Darko." I am a fan of Michael Gondry's "Be Kind Rewind." So I figured his most acclaimed work would be a nice watch. And it was, but I suggest multiple viewings. As there are a lot of details that flew past me at first. Donnie Darko on the other hand was dream like, surreal and weird. I didn't quite understand it, but not a bad experience by any stretch.

This afternoon I finished Sons Of Anarchy season 3. Overall it was a really good season but I really didnt like all of the generic Irish accents (were they acting or is that what their voices sound like?)

Anyway it was all wrapped up very well and I'm really excited to start watching season 4

EDIT, I started watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. I saw the first 4 episodes and I really like it so far, I'll definelty continue watching this one!

2nd edit: pilot episode of Boardwalk Empire, I quite like it so far, I shall continue watching this!

I also saw The Monuments Men, it had some great moments but overall it was pretty poorly constructed and had quite a few pointless scenes.

I saw some pretty terrible movies last night (me and my friends were watching them for shits and giggles). We watched: The Sex Lives Of The Potato Men and Meet The Spartans

EDIT: I also started watching 24, I've seen the first 4 episodes so far and I'm really enjoying it

Revenge of the Fallen is on TV, and I realized it literally has one positive.
-Optimus.
Seriously, that's it. His voice actor is the hypest shit ever but everything else is pretty abysmal.

Recently watched Catching Fire and Anchorman 2. I liked CF and was expectedly indifferent towards Anchorman 2. It seemed like they couldn't get into character as well as they did 10 years ago lol.

And on 4/21, I WILL be watching the season 4 premiere of The Boondocks. It's been too long.

Just watched "You're Next" with my girlfriend. It got pretty decent reviews, so we figured we'd check it out. Honestly, I don't recommend it. I couldn't get past how ridiculously predictable and unoriginal it was. I know that's typical with horror genres, but that doesn't excuse those that don't strive to do something sophisticated. I appreciate them giving a history for why the main actress is overpowering. It doesn't away my opinion on the film. My girl and I laughed a few times, but I literally could have went without viewing this. 3/10 Would Not Bang!

Saw Oculus last night. Meh... Idk I found the movie did well with making the viewer feel trapped... but the ending just wasn't that great to me... it felt like a cop out and it could've been done MUCH better. They left things unexplained along with some inconsistencies with the people the mirror "absorbed".

Return of the King is still the hypest shit, but god damn man, the climax is cheapened a bit because I know that they cut out the whole Sauron vs Aragorn thing and pasted in a troll instead. Sauron fighting Aragorn is very striking imagery and having Aragorn do what those before him could not, is much more meaningful than a freakin' troll. I think there was some double symbolism behind that, you know, Peter Jackson trolling us and laughing while doing it.

MGSV is a bit shit

This Is The End

Was really good. The actors playing themselves sells it though, it wouldn't be nearly as good if they were playing characters.

@Bread, that's what I thought too. At first, I thought they were going to be full of themselves but I like how they make fun of themselves instead, especially Franco LOL

I just got done watching Shaun of The Dead. I've always loved that movie.

Nobody really lost out on anything though, because Sauron isn't present at the battle in the book.

I'm currently watching The Wolf of Wall Street again. The first two times I watched it, I got incredibly drunk, so this is my first time seeing it sober. Still loving it just as much though.

Well yeah it wasn't, but creative liberties and all. Hell, I remember in the book it was even said that Sauron could take physical form if he wanted to *Council of Elrond, I think*, he just won't be as powerful as he was at the start *you know, swatting people like flies with a mace*, but its possible.
