It's my first day off in four weeks, so I'm spending it getting fucked up and watching horror movies. I watched John Carpenter's Prince Of Darkness first, currently I'm watching The Satanic Rites Of Dracula, and next in line are Creepshow, Basket Case, and Dead Alive/Braindead.

Grant me the strength to take this... final prey
I watched "Reign Over Me" today, it's a really good movie. I recommend watching it, it kinda broke the whole normal movie script of two friends meet, become best friends, they meet a girl, not best friends anymore, go their separate ways, sad song montage.jpg, they realize what they did, become best friends again, roll credits.

Got the Stanley Kubrick Collection recently and started watching. So far I've seen The Shining and 2001: A Space Odyssey (I saw A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove and Full Metal Jacket a while ago). I'm gonna watch Barry Lyndon tonight

Hey. You turned left.
The Blacklist. Lovely idea but suffers from same problem as House of Cards, which is that you cannot put incredibly charismatic character and try to make him look all witty and intelligent in a world where everyone else is a fucking retard. Script could use some work too. Lots of inconsistencies and at times it's downright insulting to anyone possessing a hint of intellect. Female lead is horrible horrible.

Still, I will see this one through because James Spader. Boston Legal is the only TV show I have seen twice and the credit goes entirely to him.

Can anyone recommend me a show that is actually clever as opposed to pretentious? Theme doesn't really matter as long as it leaves you honestly thinking about what you just saw.

The Dark Knight Rises

5/10

as a batman fanboy who grew up reading nothing but batman and other comics, i'm a little disgusted with the way batman is in these films. Batman begins was promising, the dark knight was great but it was way too long and the pacing was horrible but this film is utter rubbish.
Think I'll stick on the 2 part animated THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS = The best batman film ever made

TDK had some pacing issues but if it was any shorter that would have been worse tbh. And no TDKR is not rubbish, far from it. As good as the second one? ehh probably not, but still a great movie.

Too bad it's not getting renewed. I've only seen the first 6 eps but I really dig it.

The following. A great TV series but there should be a drinking game for how many times guarding police officers fail at their job

I just finished Breaking Bad a few weeks ago and i must say that it's the best TV series i have ever finished.
The drama, humor and crime just got me, kinda weird actually cause at first i thought the show was boring but as i gave it a shot and watched the first few episodes i was hooked.

It's also crazy how much the main character reminds me of my own father, both are very well educated chemistry teachers (although my dad used to teach in an university), poor, they dress similarly and even their faces look a bit like each others. When i told him about the series and how they are cooking meth he said: "But that formula is very simple!" :P Just like Walt said it being "Just basic chemistry" when Jesse was praising his product in the first episode.

Now i'm just watching Walking Dead & waiting for Game of Thrones, South Park, Knights of Sidonia and Sword Art Online to continue.

Perhaps the Hannibal tv show. Alot of stuff in it leave you wondering whats going on, particularly the second half of season 1 and the 2nd season. Besides that I dunno really.

As for what I'm watching, Gotham, Flash, Arrow, Vikings (), Bitten, Black Sails and Supernatural. I was watching Helix but gave it a break. Just gonna wait for the whole season to be finished then binge watch it. Was also watching a show called Stalker but have since stopped, wasn't doing any favours for the anxiety and distrust I have of people already. :P

Using game of thrones as my study-reward show, halfway through S3 atm. I'm definitely hooked at this point, what's the general hype level like for season 5? I don't want to read or discuss things with the fans at all for fear of spoilers, with the books already been written and all.

I actually heard that they are considering renewing it for season 2, i would love that as its one of the few tv shows on right now that i enjoy.
