Watched 'Goodfellas' last night on DVD, very good gangsta film, not as violent as I thought it would be, but a very enjoyable film, anybody else seen this? If so, could you recommend anything along these lines?  :thumb:

I know one that you may like. It's not all about the mob, but it's got a mob element to it. Watch Suicide Kings. It stars Dennis Leary (My hero), Christopher Walken, and Sean Patrick Flanery (From The Boondock Saints).

It's about a group of rich kids that kidnap an ex-mob boss (Walken) in order to help them find their best friend's (Flanery) kidnapped sister.

Here's it's profile on IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120241/

PM me and tell me what you think about it. It's a very overlooked flick.

I'm watching The Godfather. Weird thing is, I recognise all the dialogues from playing the game so I feel like I've watched it before, when I haven't. :D

the uncut version of CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST.

probably the most brutally violent and disturbing film ever made.

Cannibal Holocaust (1980) is a controversial exploitation film which was banned in around 60 countries due to its depiction of graphic rape, torture, and the killings of real animals. It was conceived by Gianfranco Clerici and Giorgio Stegani, and made under the direction of Ruggero Deodato with a budget of around 100,000 USD. It is probably the best-known and most financially successful of the exploitation subgenre of Italian cannibal films.

Quote:

The biggest controversy upon its release was the belief that this was an actual snuff film, which is a testament to the realism and brutality of the film. Director Ruggero Deodato and one of the film's producers were arrested and the film seized a week after the premiere. The courts in Milan believed Deodato actually had the actors in the film murdered for the camera, and they also believed that the iconic "impalement scene" was indeed genuine.

sounds like fun. only in the first part right now. :)

Fahrenheit 9/11: Yes I have seen this movie countless times but the beginning scene where the screen goes blank and you can hear people screaming and crying while the plans crash...biggest tear jerker or all time...even thinking about it while I'm typing upsets me.
This is the only movie I've seen at the movie theater where the crowed stood up and appluded at the credits...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Saw Reservoir Dogs the other night, it was very short imho and funny here and there; nothing too special but good overall though.

Now to watch The Godfather ^_^

I saw The Godfather last night, had it on hire for about 2 weeks but never really had enough spare time to watch it in one sitting - but yesterday I did! ^_^

Not much went on imho, but it was still an enjoyable film and now to see the other two! Shame about the end......

Oh yeah! Another PB fan. :D

I'm addicted to it. And yeah you should get that set. Has all 22 episodes from the first season, and bonus features. I still have all the episodes taped from t.v.

I'm a PB freak. ^_^ I'm watching the 5th episode right now, can't wait for the new episode on Monday (season 2). ^_^
