It got confirmed as a MMO on October 25th. should be pretty sweet, there is some new concept art up on the site. what is everyone's thought? I am looking forward to it. Kinda mad about it being an MMO though... http://kotor3.net/ |

Wow, a lot of people hate the idea of it being an mmo. Can't say I blame them, of they've played the shit storm that was SWG, they know what'll happen. A good MMO for a few years, then a complete load of tripe after. Anyway, I won't be apprehensive about this. I loved KOTOR1, and I enjoyed KOTOR2, but the MMO is a big turn off. |

Well it was bound to happen. The whole RPG nature of it made it perfect to eventually become an MMO. They have just been biding their time. |

it wont really be KOTOR3 as it takes place a couple hundred years later. =P and I dont think you will find out anything regarding the fates of Revan and the exile. and to be honest, I think it looks pretty stupid. whats with the ultra huge lightsabers for example? looks way too much like wow and not enough star wars. that being said, I will most likely try this out anyway. and it might even be awesome. but I expect the worst. ^^ |

It probably won't Bioware is making tons of shitty changes. we want something like the other 2 and they decide to make a shitty MMO that does not beling anywhere with the story

I've played KOTOR at a friends house for about 10 mins and it looked OK so i went out and bought it today, he said it's a very good RPG but has doubts about it becoming a MMO. I have to admit that most MMO games aren't my cup of tea....Why couldn't they just make an off line sequel? Or at least have a single player mode as well as online mode. |

I read the extensive preview by PC gamer, and what they're doing looks promising... It won't be called KOTOR though, they shortened it to "The Old Republic." It also won't have a single player aspect to it, it's purely MMO... They also stated that they don't want to do what the other MMOs are doing (*looks at WOW*)... They want to make it unique and still true to the KOTOR way... |

I think people should wait to see how the game turns out instead of jumping on their backs. Personally, I like the idea. I can't wait for the day they make a decent Star Wars MMO. SWG was crap and this could really turn out well, it certainly looks promising. |
