I see we don't have a Metal topic, so I had to make one. Discuss anything anything metal related here. By the way, if you don't like metal, then don't post here. All anti-metal posts will be considered spam. Some of my favorite metal bands in no particular order are Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Pantera, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Testament, Exodus, and Black Label Society. |

Nice idea. There are a lot of metalheads here, so this may end up to be a successive topic. Anyway, I love metal. I listen to a bit of bands from each genre; thrash, death, traditional, and even a bit of black metal. Agreed! I don't own any of their albums, but I plan on picking one up some day. Ravenous is probably my favorite song of theirs that I have downloaded; excellent drumming and the guitar solo near the end is beyond words. |

DUDE, WTF? This is the HEAVY METAL DISCUSSION THREAD. This thread was meant to be a place for metal heads to get together and discuss heavy metal, not just post lists of bands. It wasn't originally intended to become the sh*tty "Favorite Band?" thread it is now, but at least the other people posted their favorite metal bands. Your message has nothing to do with the topic at hand, therefore it is spam. In an attempt to save this thread, I'll go ahead and post some awsome new that I found out this week. I'm looking forward to the Chimaira release. However, not so much looking forward to the Slayer release. New Slayer quite simply blows... they've completely dropped thrash and it just sounds like sh*t now. In my honest opinion, the downfall came after Seasons of the Abyss. Since then, from the bits I've heard on each album, it just gets worse. Oh well, we still have other releases to look forward to. I heard Opeth went back into the studio a while back. Even though they've changed labels, I'm hoping for the best. And for the record, this post was meant to breathe a bit of life into the dying topic, so come on people! I know there's some metalheads here... |

I'm looking forward to it as well, and The Mars Volta are apparently an excellent band too. I doubt they'll come anywhere even remotely close to West Virginia, seeing as no one comes here, but who knows. And while SoaD aren't exactly metal, I don't see anything wrong with discussing them here. I mean, where else would they be discussed? |
