i liked acid and am waiting for acid 2.
but i will say that the lenth of the story is not very conducive to the portable environment. and a bit too much like a soap opera. the story should have been more technical. i like the cards and the fact that acumulating the cards made fun to play the game after its completed.
now i will give konami a big big wag of the finger becuase capcom was smart enough to port street fighter, dark stalker and idont know what other games down to psp. its logical all those old games take on new life on a smaller screen.

what happened to metal gear solid on psp? i mean; i would love to be on the train playing a vr mission.

There was nothing wrong with the story or the length in my eyes. The only problem I had with the game is the lack of cut-scenes and voice acting. Wouldn't you prefer a brand new game to an older port? You could easily find a PS1 emulator and download the game for yourself.

it was just my opinion. i had read in an other post about the option to skip movies on acid. mine was [on] so i changed it to [off]. there's some pretty cool cut scenes depending on what cards you use.
and im not sure if i have to be near an other psp owner in order to have link battle or if its wifi.
emulators? would i be able to play mgs1 on psp is i bumped it down some how?
and dont you have to have version 1.5 firmware on psp for stuff like that to work?
the average dude has at minimum 2.0 i know no one can resist checking for updates meaning they have 2.6 at this point.

A plane has been hijacked by a couple of terrorists and Solid Snake has to infiltrate the enemy and put an end to the crisis. Naturally, you will have to fight with a Metal Gear, called Metal Gear Kodoque. What a name, eh?

Metal Gear Solid (Konami)
Metal Gear Ac!d was a pleasent diversion, but PSP can handle a proper Snake adventure in the style of this MGS debut - perhaps with WiFi multiplayer VR missions. Word has is it's on the way too!

I tought you know about this...

Yes the game has bosses. For example Leone. He was quite easy to beat though.

Yes, there is bosses. But not so many in MGA1. Only Leone twice, La Clowv twice and Metal Gear.
So it makes 5 boss battles.

Anyway, they have chanced that in MGA2, even the trailer says "Lots of Bosses", or something like that ^_^

thats utter bull, the PSP has near equal power to the PS2 (just a lack in prosessing power) MGS1 would esaly play and im shure like other game developers could reduce the game for it to play on the PSP.

wow, i didnt know the topic took off like this,, i did some googling and found some articles..

Konami of Europe has announced a new genre for the PSP, with the advent of Kojima Productions' Metal Gear Solid Digital Comic (working title), a specially created interactive comic specifically designed for the format.

and i keep finding this short article,, it gets cropped and reused in countless other sites

Announced via Hideo Kojima's blog, this mysterious game known only as is an attempt an a "completely new gameplay system" for play on PSP. The project has drawn in the talents of six higher ranking members of Kojima Productions, including Shinta Nojiri (who will serve as director and producer for the new title), Noriaki Okamura, Shuyo Murata, Mr. Yamada, and Hideo Kojima himself.

Series creator Hideo Kojima has confirmed that this project is a Metal Gear Solid title, but concrete details on the game are still under wraps. Kojima has confirmed, however, that the gameplay makes use of the system in a way only possible on PSP. Also, the producers are considering releasing the new project or a test version of it for players to try out while it is still in development, and are looking into ways of doing that.

and theres this one also

Next Generation is reporting that Hideo Kojima has revealed plans to release a PSP Metal Gear Solid game in Japan mid-way through 2006.

Codenamed Metal Gear Solid B.D., it’s being touted as a completely new iteration of the series; not a remake. Speaking to Famitsu, Kojima said, “It’s totally new.”

Somewhat enigmatically, he adds, “Even though it’s only on PSP, it’s going to be pretty amazing. It might be too new for people. I don’t even know if they’re going to sell this thing. I mean, I find it interesting myself, though who knows what people will think of it. Really, though — it’s just a normal game. Only with one little thing radically different about it.”

Konami already publishes card-based games in the Metal Gear Acid series. It’s been known for a few months that Kojima’s team has been working on a secret new PSP game. In a blog entry back in October he wrote, “It will feature a completely new system. We have to learn if it’ll be accepted. We’ll have to create a prototype and play-test. It’ll have a system that’s different from traditional games. That’ll be its selling point.”

and i found this on wikipedia:

Metal Gear Solid (PSP) is the working title for an upcoming PlayStation Portable game being published by Konami and developed through Kojima Productions. During an interview with Famitsu magazine, Hideo Kojima confirmed that this project was "a completely new Metal Gear Solid" for the PSP. It will not be a continuation of the Metal Gear Ac!d series nor would it be based on Metal Gear Solid B.D. which is a digital comic currently scheduled for Japanese PlayStation Portable release during the spring of 2006.

Metal Gear Solid PSP has attracted the talents of several high ranking members from Kojima Productions including Shinta Nojiri as the project's director and producer, Shuyo Murata, and even series creator Kojima himself. As of January 2006, the producers are still considering if the title will even be released and, if production progresses further, a beta version might be released to players so they can try it out while it's still under development. But, they are still searching for ways of doing so.

long story short; i look forward to checking it out, so far metal gear acid and metal gear acid 2 have shelved all the other games i have for psp and i think its becouse of the way kojima utilizes the psp to make an awsome game play,,

I had trouble actually using stealth in the game with those cards, and then when I was spotted, I would eventually end up surrounded, with no weapons. It could be that I'm just not that good at this game, though.
Yeah, Acid was kind of a let down for me, and I got bored with it pretty fast...
