@ Darius, are you playing Snake Eater or Subsistence? Probably a stupid question considering where you're posting, but Flecktarn is only on Subsistence and that should be unlocked along with Auscam camo, brown face paint and Desert Tiger camo when you complete the game. It's a pretty good camo. It definitely unlocked for me on the Gb version, maybe you're playing a different version, I wouldn't know about the others. P.s congrats on 61 posts, Vic Rattlehead. Got to love the number.

Hey thnx for the information But when I start a new game on MGS Subsistance, i can't find the patriot(boss's gun) And i start with the same difficulty as last time can you only use the patriot gun during the snake eater misson? Please NEED HELP  Skuer |

This is the subsistence online forum for one (you posted in the wrong place), and secondly, you get it after you beat the boss, should be in your backpack, you have to equip it. |

sorry for posting it wrong.. But I got the tuxedo, and the patriot isn't in the backpack.. Can you only use it on the "main" misson and not the first where you rescue Sokolov but The boss takes him away? Skuer |

No, you can use it in the Virtuous mission. Killed Ocelot with it many times. Not sure what's the matter with your game, possibly just a really rare glitch. Try completing the game again or starting a new game altogether, if it still doesn't appear then it must be something wrong with your game, not sure what though. And if you were going to ask, it's on every difficulty.  I hope your game sorts itself out, man.

Awesome. One thing, though. I tried the 'Clean-shaven Snake', it doesn't seem to work. What is this so called Secret theater, also? Is it just the one on the Subsistence disc 2? |

yeh, dont do what i did and think the bonus theater happens when you get all of the other scenes, doesnt work....so many hours. |

I can't believe no one posted their affects yet. Just in case someone wants to know what something does before getting it. American Flag face paint= No effect Animals= Hands never shake no matter how low stamina is AUSCOM Desert= Reduces damaged taken by 2/3 Banana Camouflage= All food gives high stamina recovery Brown Face Paint= No effect Cold War Camoflage= Enemies won't shoot you from the front Desert Tiger Camouflage fatigue= Supressors never wear out DPM Camouflage= Heals faster English Flag Face Paint= No effect EZ Gun= Small tranqulizer gun with infinite ammo, built in supressor that never wears out, laser sights, and never needs to be reloaded. Also provides a minimum of 80% camo and restores stamina when equiped Fire Camoflage= Damage from fire/explosions is halved Flectarn Camouflage= Infinite battery French Flag Face Paint= No effect German Flag Face Faint= No effect Green Face Paint= Infinite grip (pretty useless imo) Hornet Stripe= Bees follow you and attack your enemies Infinity Face Paint= Infinite ammo for all weapons. Italian Flag Face Paint= No effect Japanese Flag Face Paint= No effect Monkey Mask= Not sure, but apparently dogs won't attack you. Moss Camoflage= Restores stamina when in the presence of light Patriot= Weapon similar to an assault rifle that has inifinte ammo and never needs to be reloaded Single Action Army= Revolver that fires shots with the same force as the M1911A1 but the bullets bounce Snake Camoflage= Camo index never drops below 15% Soviet Flag Face Paint= No effect Spanish Flag Face Paint= No effect Spider Camoflage= Camo index is always at 80% at the cost of stamina dropping rapidly Spirit Camoflage= Enemies cannot hear your footsteps and choking enemies restores your stamina greatly Stealth Camoglage= Not an actual equipable camoflage, selected in the equipment window. Always provides 100% camo index as long as you have not been discovered(firing 3 non-silenced shots consecutively will automatically raise the alarm) and are not dragging/choking and enemies. (In those cases your camo is at 95%) Swedish Flag Face Paint= No effect Tuxedo Camoflage= Looks cool. Cannot use CQC |

Ga-Ko Camo is in the lake where the crocks are go to the right site of the lake. Go all in front and when you get to the other site enter to the water and down is the camo. And Rev-SQ the brown face paint dose have a effect. you can be in the water your O2 wont go down at all. |

Sorry to 'bump' the thread and re-ask my question, but I still havent figured out how to get 'clean shaven' Snake mentioned here. Is it a gimmick, or actually possible...or? Someone help, please?

@Raiden _X - You need all the plants and animals, but not necessarily any in the Virtuous mission. All the ones on this mission will be back in Snake Eater anyway. Basically though, in your position, I'd just get them as soon as you can, as you have no idea how annoying it is to be nearing Groznyj Grad and remembering that you didn't get the Parrot.  Nils - To get the "Clean Shaven" Snake, select the "I like MGS1!" choice from the new game options, and Snake will be clean shaven, but only in the plane. When he leaves it, his facial hair seems to grow at a horrifying rate. A bonus of this option is that your stamina goes down a lot slower. |
