Metal Gear Solid	Comatoes Aug 12 2008, 04:07 PM Couple days ago, I broke out Origins and started playing the first Final Fantasy... I plan to play through 1-6 while trying not to lose my fucking mind. It's going to be a stretch but hopefully, I can live through all the random battles... ...wish me luck. Update: I finally got around to beating FFOne the other day... in all honesty, it was pretty solid for one of the first RPGs of it's kind. Basic story and basic gameplay but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The best thing about it for me was seeing where a lot of the reoccurring themes in the FF series originated from... it's amazing how much they've used over and over again, throughout the years. ...and there's no problem with that, as I think that's one of the reasons I love the series so much. Anyway, I started in on Final Fantasy II and it keeps freezing on me in random places so, i'm not sure if i'm going to be able to play through this iteration. I like the different battle system as it's completely fresh from the first one but, I miss my experience points, to be honest. Well, hopefully, i'll be able to continue... maybe I shouldn't use the disc as a frisbee, anymore. P.S. Yes, I quoted myself... what's it to ya?!

Metal Gear Solid	The improvement between FFI and FFII is simply amazing, there is a huge jump in quality in every aspect of the game - graphics, music, story, gameplay, length. It also intoduces a lots of things which remain in the series today such as Chocobos, 'Cid' and so on.

All three look really epic and the trailers definitely have me drooling. If I could only have one though, from those trailers, I'd go for Versus. Not only is that (presumably) main guy really hot, the whole video is just pure sexy. I hope I don't get let down because these trailers have got me excited for FF again (despite there not actually being hardly anything new in these trailers...).

I am a little disapointed I was hopping this tittle was going to be the first in a series of AAA JRPG that were not developed by Square, I mean they are great but they have too much control in this genre and we all are kind of tied to their will. My point was to have a company other than Square-enix capable of developing AAA JRPG games to breack Square's monopoly of the market that is why I was (am) exited about White Knight Story, but this lower my hope on the game. Sure the FF XIII trailer looks good but there isn't any gameplay demostration, maybe they are holding the footage back so we all may buy the remake of advent chilldrent for blue-ray to play the demo that is the kind of cheap strategy that a good all fashion competion could breack. Huh? I wasn't replying to your post, I was just saying that there were new trailers out... And I'm sure the gameplay will be just fine, as long as it's nothing like FF12. Which thankfully it's not.

And I agree with Wolfie, I think Square are not going to show any gameplay footage thus making the fans buy Advent Children on Blu-Ray to get the FFXIII demo disc with it - I know I certainly will be. Metal Gear Solid	So, obviously my Final Fantasy marathon was cut short after I managed to finish the first one. However, I'm back to the goodness of role-playing by revisiting the wonderful world of Suikoden. I downloaded it on PSN for $5.99! DAMN! You would spend a lot more than that to get an original copy of it. I used to have it but that was before my eyes were opened to the stupidity Gamespot and their gouging of prices after you sell your games to them. I would probably have over a hundred PS games if I wouldn't have sold so many... so much regret. Another game I wish I still had: Brave Fencer Musashi. That series never really caught on like a couple other games that Squaresoft created... Vagrant Story, anyone? I loved collecting the in-game action figures that BFM had. I liked the fighting system, as well. Anyway, my point: If you haven't played Suikoden, yet... now would be a good time since it's available on PSN for an incredibly cheap price... and since it's on your PS3, the load times are near non-existant. Ol' school goodness... (not too ol' school but ol' school, in my book.)

There's still hope if you're not going to get Swap Magic... it was released on the JPN PSN store last Summer so, maybe, in a year or so, we'll see it come to the US PSN, at least. Then you could make a US account and DL it from there. I hope they release it on PSN... I would gasm!

Square Enix have confirmed it will come out in the US...but didn't even bother to mention us in the PAL regions.
