over the past few years of having conversations with people and reading on forum posts and websites about the MGS movie afew names usually pop up into the "who would be snake?" question. so i got a list of those names that i recall are mostly mentioned or most popular choices of people. (please note i did not randomly pull these names from a hat, some retards out there truly think Ben Afleck and Mat Damon are good just because the latter was an "agent" in the BOURNE films, i do not need to comment further on Afleck... you should know) some of those choices are truly rediculous, some of them are awesome actors like 'christian bale and hugh jackman' who can portray americans very well and could pull it off, but some guys like jason statham!!!??? he doesnt even have hair and can only speak in a london accent. i would go for Josh Holloway (Sawyer from LOST) if you watch lost youll know he fits the bill, when he looks angry and speaks in a husky voice, though he has to lose the southern accent a little. i dont want to talk much about the other actors because it may affect your vote (i know some people are wierd like that) |

Hmm, I say Sean Bean. Sure, he may be getting a bit old, but I think he's a great actor, thought he was amazing in Goldeneye. I think he'd be a good snake, I'm sure he could get the voice right and the beard would look good on him. The guy can really get into his characters. I bet a load of people are going to disagree with me, but I say it's got to be the bean. :lol: |

Hugh Jackman. His role as Wolverine was good easily could blend into Snake's role. He's got the look, the voice, and the hair. |

Sean Bean with a diejob and you have Solid Snake right in front of you Although I would much prefer Sean as Liquid, espedcially if he keeps the Shefield accent, Liquid would sound much better with an Shefield or Midlands accen tin my eyes. |

those were also my brothers choices, but solid and liquid would obviously have to be the same actor, and i would prefer jackman out of the two, he does an american accent very well as he does an english one too, anyone seen the prestige or flushed away? i think they were excellent performances though if he ups the tone a little and sounds more "violent" it could be pulled off |

Again, Bale is too good to be Snake. But I can see Jackman more as Snake, look at how good a job he did as Wolverine. So since MGS is one of the higher up games, it should have a better movie adaptation so I say Jackman. |

Russel Crowe would do a good snake, hes got a very action-hero aurora around him, but id like to see the actors do the actions and maybe david hayter doing a voice over. because the snake voice is really important! |

hugh jackman to play snake hands down but not to play liquid. liquid in mgs1 and TTS is like a completely different person his personality not to mention his hair allows for a different person to play liquid. i think the best liquid would be that main baddy (white version) from die another day he is perfect liquid he also kinda looks like a sinister hugh jackman. if they use keanu reeves, ben affleck ESPECIALLY BEN AFFLECK I WILL BOMB SONY PICTURES MYSELF!!!! lol that guy from lost looks like a young snake tho he could be good. |
