Metal Gear Rex I always struggled on this boss fight... Either it was because i didn't have the chaff grenades to mess up its electronics or because i was running really low on stinger missles. |

mmm i guess the one i screwed up the most was Wolf's second battle if you use the rifle, i cant shoot worth shit, if i cheat and use the Nikita then its simple but i dont like that way |

Mantis was hard because I didn't know about the other controller port thingy, so I died like forty times that horrible, horrible night. Otherwise I thought Rex was quite hard |

The second Sniper Wolf fight was always a problem... I always started off looking in the wrong direction and never had enough Diazepam.... but now I know her moves.

For me it was Metal Gear Rex because when you fight him the missiles are so fast and they always would get direct hits on me and plus I was like 10. But also Gray Fox would kill me all the time because when you finally take all his health down he puts that blue shit around him and I always forgot that he does that so he killed me. |

i just replayed this game the other day (been about 3 years). on normal, rex killed me the most... the hind was the only other boss battle that killed me |

In all honestly, I don't really find the bosses of this game hard. I guess cause I've played it so much I do everything to perfection and don't remember when it was hard. But if I had to pick somebody, I guess I'd pick rex cause he will normally at least shot me once before I get under him. Other then that, the bosses don't really hit you. |

The hardest boss for me was probably Liquid Snake when you are in the car, although he's not really a boss. Thing is it was so hard for me just to get with the god damn mounted gun! I found it especially hard when you drive in different lane and he is right beside you I'm not really sure why though. But yeah, obviously I did manage to get past that part and beat the game and see the ending. But if I had to choose a boss apart from the car chase it would be the second Sniper Wolf battle with out the Nikita Misslie Launcher. She is bloody awesome with snipers! If you run into open ground you get hit just like that. I think that I've only ever managed to beat Sniper Wolf twice with a PSG-1. But all the boss fights on MGS1 are epic, it's my favorate game for Boss fights besides MGS3. (The End is my fave boss fight ever) |

The only boss fight that i still can't do first time is fighting Liquid on the top of Rex, because of the time limit, and the fact that he has to be on the edge of REX in order to knock him off |

Some may seemed shocked by this, but I think the fight with Ocelot is pretty hard, just because it is so awkward to aim, and you have limited ammo. The hardest fight I think though is when you face REX after the cockpit has opened. The missiles can be really hard to dodge (especially on MGS1 where there is no 'roll' function). |

lol, You don't have to knock him off. You just have to reduce his health to zero, then he is knocked off of REX automatically in the following cut scene. |

WAIT, hold the FUCK up. MGS1 did NOT have Euro. Just Xtreme. And wtf ?? The only part I couldn't survive easily was the escape when Liquid would gun me down on the jeep. The Rex ?? That was the easiest boss ever. I can dodge all 3 of its attacks, and know when and which one is coming easily. I never get hit there I just shoot him up easily. If the escape on the jeep was a boss, that would be the hardest fucking part for me. ahah, yeh, also speaking about Sniper Wolf in the snowfield, dude, I had absolutely no Diazepam. I had to struggle, watching the trees she would be hiding behind, trembling like a bitch. Luckily I shot her down, and even after that, I search the warehouses now that I had the chance and there was Diazepam waiting for me in there. WTF !?!? you only use that drug in the two sniping battles !! That was some mad, BS, but while I have that game wrapped up on Xtreme, I'm good, no more sniper hassles ;] Edited by mistamontiel, Oct 12 2008, 02:48 AM.

Yeah just keep the stinger equipped and you never fall down even if the missiles hit you, just keep shooting and you can beat REX in about 30 secs!!!! Just use the Nikita to beat Wolf the second time....Go all the way to the right and she cannot hit you. Use first person mode to guide the missiles.....Easy!! bwahah I didn't know you can play Rex like that I know easily when it like crouches, you need to run towards it or else the missiles will nail you. Then I'll just run back and run sideways to avoid his stupid machine gun then I nail him easily. If however I don't retreat far enough after he throws the missiles, I gotta keep running or that fucking laser will cut me up lol but it's so easy I never take damage there on either both parts. The escape is the only real bitch to survive |
