This sounds terrible!

They've just swept the Story (which was one of the best features of the game) under the carpet you don't go on a story mod you just do random missions well i know I'm not buy this. I'm very surprised Konami would do something like this.......

... It's an expantion pack. The idea is that they expand on the original game. If you included the original game in it aswell, it wouldn't be an expansion pack, would it? This game is purely meant for online, but with a little bit of single player which I think is quite enjoyable. The guys at IGN don't seem to be able to grasp that simple fact.

Its not an expansion pack though you dont install all the extras to the original MGS:PO do you its a Re-release whihc has had things taken out of it.(Like the new PS3 40GB)
I'm sure alot of people will trade in MGS:PO for MGS:PO+ and be very disapointed theres no excuse for taking the story off it.I know theyve done MGS2 Substance and MGS3 Subsistance but at least they had everything the original had. I was expecting P.O+ to be like them so im rather disapointed.i would have got it if it was all in one.

It is an expansion pack because it is fully compatible with MPO, it expands on MPO's online experience and it is meant purely as an online experience. It is basically expanding on MPO, therefore it is an expansion pack. A re-release is something like Subsistence, because it includes the original game as well as the extras.

It was focused solely on making Multiplayer better. With more levels, characters, weapons and modes. Yeah, no story mode, no MAJORLY new content, around 10 plus new people really. No MAJORLY new weapons apart from the swords, yeah, I knew all this before I got this game. I expected it to be something I'd be done with in a bit and not play much afterward. But that simply isn't the case, why? Allow me to explain why I feel this game was worth 20 bucks.

I was bored with MPO, I wanted something new, MPO+ had the new stuff I was after. Better characters, like the Tech, Tengu, Johnny, and a few others which add even more diversity into the game. New chat which makes actually playing online easier because now we can actually communicate. More levels, bringing the total up to 15 and swapping music for some other levels. What does this do? Gives us more to do online, with more levels, we aren't so quickly bored with the game. Not to mention that ALL the new levels are better then the old MPO levels. Western Wilderness, Ravine, MG REX Hanger, Ghost Factory, Pillhouse, Killhouse B and C. Not a lot, but added with the old MPO levels, it makes more levels than most online games so far, more so then MGO. Maybe not better, but we're always into something new.

Do I agree with the IGN review? In most cases, yes I do. 20 bucks, so I figured it would be worth it, and it is. Would I rate it 6.5? No, absolutely not, I would rate it around 8.2 or lower, because look at MG Integral, that was just a series of VR missions and it got a 9.0 at GS. Now yeah, IGN rated it poorly, and odds are GS won't rate it as high as MPO either, but it's still worth the money if you ask me. Now what could've made MPO+ better? Simple. Storymode, and some more uniques. I bet you ANYTHING if this game had Gray Fox, every ONE of you would be jumping at the chance to buy it, no matter what the reviews said, and we know that's true too. Storymode in MPO was a great addition, BUT Infinity Mode was poorly judged.

It's incredibly challenging getting through, and it makes obtaining your soldiers and weapons both much more challenging, and much more rewarding then before. So if you want to know if MPO+ is worth $21.64, my answer is yes. Is it better then MPO? In a few instances, absolutely. Online, and Boss Rush. Other then that, if you already have MPO, then get MPO+ and get the best of both worlds, because MPO+ is a truly great ONLINE game, that is all. And since I have online, I can enjoy an immense online experience for my PSP.

psssht. I love how that review forgets to mention that the game is only half the retail price of the original MPO.

MPO+ isn't for someone to just pick up and start playing. It's not about a plot. It's about MGS fans wanting to play something fun.

It's $20 and it holds us over until MGS4 comes out.

Didn't they release a MPO + MPO+ release in japan?

Although the bonus features of the euro version + mpo+ on one umd would have been awesome.

Actually I'm having more fun offline. I was sorta upset at first there was no additional story and the fact you can't use your new soldiers/characters in the original story mode (the original story mode should of been left in) but in all honestly I'm having fun just leveling up and trying to collect new soldiers and get my tech and med lvl higher.

If you have played the other expansion packs on the ps1 and ps2 you would not be disspointed if there was no story mode as you would not expect it not to mention how would they stuff MPO in to umd disic with the extra feuturures of plus

I think they could of done a better name then Plus
