Posts: 2,500 Group: The Special Forces Member #6,577 Joined: December 18, 2007	I was just thinking about how I watched the Meryl ending before the Otacon one. I admit I was a bit weary as I was not sure if the last scene was going to be a simple 'cut & paste', if you will - giving the impression that Snake was coming onto Otacon. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Phew.

For all we know, they were both taken away for questioning afterward and never saw each other again until MGS4... I mean, snake is more than twice her age, and I never really saw them as "getting together".

Metal Gear Solid	Well, I've seen both endings multiple times, but I prefer the Meryl ending only because ~ (bonus content spoiler) Spoiler: click to toggle The Otacon ending results in the next playthrough being done as Tuxedo Snake, and I prefer Sneaking Suit Snake instead. But I chose the Otacon ending in my first playthrough so I could get the stealth camo. I think they are both good, although I think Stealth should have been for meryl's ending because it is harder to do. I liked them both and it was cool to realise that is what mantis meant when he said "but I do not know if your futures lie together" I think that both endings are a little corny in dialogue but naomi's narration is excellent, the music works totally and utterly. The whole game rocks!

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater	Okay, this is possibly not a surprise but I really prefered the Otacon ending, and the kind of great friendship they have in Mgs2 proves that they have the perfect comedy dynamic of brains and know-how. You get the stealth camo and it's not a cheesy ending. Plus, I f**king hate Meryl. The thought of someone as amazing as Snake and some little "woe is me" type woman is just sickening.

It's more about Snake giving up to the torture. He's SNAKE, what the hell. I just can't imagine him breaking up and letting a girl die.
