Remarkably more agile in the Twin Snakes. This is the first time I've ever really played the Twin Snakes properly, and so far it has been pretty much exactly the same as the origional MGS on PS1 (which so far I prefer). However, Snake seems to move ALOT more like Raiden in this, with his flips and such. Not being a Ninja, or like Raiden or anything, I liked the fact Snake couldnt do that, and stuck to rolling out the way or whatever like normal SEAL's. Anyone else notice this? Opinions? |

Don't even think about using auto-fire, or I'll know.

I haven't played "Twin Snakes", Nils, but from what I've seen and heard, many MGS fans shared your opinion on Snake's sudden hyperacrobatic skills... |

I mean if it was Raiden then yeah, I would understand, but Snake was never an acrobat. He was just...Snake. I mean it shows his skill at CQC far moreso than the PS1, but he doesn't need to be a ninja to do that. And just so you know Lun-Sei, Ocelot is AMAZING in Twin Snakes. Some of his gunplay is just superb. |

A person doesn't need to be a ninja to do a backflip either... If the PS1 had been capable of it and MGS1 had showed Snake doing a backflip, would this really be an issue?

You don't have to be a ninja no, but in later games (MGS2, MGS3 as BB and MGS4) we know that it isn't in Snakes character to be that agile and lithe. That was part of the whole point of adding Raiden, to show the clear cut between him and Snake, and give fans a way to see Snake's character through anothers eyes. I just don't think the way they have him act and move is inkeeping with his character through the rest of the games. |
