So you may be worried that you wont beable to play in the MGO beta either because you cant find the MGSaga preorder or your continent doesnt even know when it will be announced [Hi Fellow Europeans] Well ive been sitting on this idea for a while after I got access to the MGO beta and seeing how the outlook does not look good then here is how to use the Japanese MGO site to get access to the MGO Beta. BEFORE YOU START BE WARNED, This may take some time but in the end it IS worth it as you will get the MGO download code as soon as you finish. ALSO NOTE, if your computer cannot read Japanese then it will be pretty much IMPOSSIBLE for you to signup. To test if your computer can or cannot read Japanese then if the next symbols show up as blocks or ?'s then you cannot - 子犬は同性愛者です。 So if you just saw some Japanese then lets GO GO GO! Essential Links BEST Japanese/English Translator On The Net [Put English or Japanese into the box on the left. The first option in the middle of the two is English to Japanese, The second is Japanese to English. Press the button to translate and it will load in the box on the right] The Japanese Yellow Pages [In the guide you will be asked to provide a ZIP CODE. Just find a business on the Yellow Pages and use that] Start Of The Guide 1 - What Is A KONAMIid? A KONAMIid is an official account for the Japanese KONAMI sites, With a KONAMIid you can get access to exclusive Japanese beta programs. WHY! THAT SOUNDS LIKE MGO! Let get started. 2 - Getting A KonamiID Go to the KonamiID site Which Is Here. You should be told to choose your Country and Language so choose Japan and it will redirect to the main site. Once the page has loaded then you will see a BIG blue button at the left of the page. It will look like the top half of this image  Click it and you will be sent to the start of the registration process. To make the process easier I have taken screencaps of the pages and translated them on the top. The first page you see is the Age page. [CLICK THE SPOILER TO SEE THE IMAGE] Spoiler: click to toggle Once you click the button you will be sent to the agreement page so all you need to do is scroll to the bottom and press the button on the LEFT to say "I Agree" The next page is where all the magic happens. The main form. [SECTION 1 - ID AND PASSWORD] Spoiler: click to toggle [SECTION 2 - SECRET QUESTION] Spoiler: click to toggle [SECTION 3 - EMAIL, NAME AND SEX] Spoiler: click to toggle [SECTION 4 - ZIP CODE] Spoiler: click to toggle You will then be taken back to the form, Make sure you have filled in everything ive shown you to. Then click the button on the LEFT. You will then see all the details you entered, Press the button on the LEFT once more. You will then see a screen full of Japanese, This is telling you that you have to confirm your account by clicking a link in the email. SO LETS GO TO YOUR EMAIL! [SECTION 5 - CONFIRM THE ACCOUNT] Spoiler: click to toggle CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE NOW MADE YOUR KONAMID ACCOUNT! But its not over yet, Its time to sign up for the elusive MGO BETA!. 3 - Signing Up To The MGO Beta When you finish the KonamiID registration you may see the advert for the MGO Beta, If you dont then you can go direct to it by using this link - https://id.konami.net/mgo_beta/ You will see a login for the KONAMI ID - So login using the ID and Password you have just made. You will then be shown a 10 question form, This is a METAL GEAR Questionnaire. It may seem daunting but do not worry, I have translated for you! And as soon as you fill out the form you get the MGO BETA DOWNLOAD CODE [FILLING OUT THE MGO FORM!] Spoiler: click to toggle After you click the button then you will get what you wanted. THE DOWNLOAD CODE! [Download Code / BETA Download Info] Spoiler: click to toggle Enjoy your download code! From what we've seen of the US MGSaga 2 then when the download becomes avalible you will have to enter the download code like it was a PSN Voucher. Instructions for that is in a different thread, But I do not know if you need to use a Japanese PSNID because its the Japanese MGO Code you were given. Well done man that's really helpfull, I tried doing it on my PS3 but I cant write in japanese or copy and paste so i'll have to wait until I get my hands on a PC. Do you know if you have to use a japanese E-Mail address or does that not matter? |

Ye dont need a Japanese email address, Ive used GMAIL and Windows Live. They both work fine. But be wary of Yahoo because I dont think there servers display Japanese properly. |

Ahahaha, Thanks HS. Apparently on the last KP report, Payton said that to download the MGO Beta you have to go onto the store, Select it and then enter the code to download it. So the code may work on any store but it will definitely work on the Japanese PStore. |

This is going to sound immensely stupid, but does what you/I have to input have to be in Japanese? I.E. Username, Password, email address? I tried earlier (typing in English) and was sure that everything was correct (more than 8 characters) but it didn't seem to work. |

Yeah the Japanese PSS 'roxxor'. Come April 17th I will try and download it from the European store, if that fails then naturally I shall try the Japanese. But I see no reason that the download would be region specific. |

Just to warn you guys, we are getting a firmware update on the 17th to install the new PStore. We're having no store updates for 2 weeks and once the new FW comes it will have a MEGATON update [Including the MGO Beta] But it wont be web based, but software based so there are some panics that the stores MIGHT have a region lock. But this is HIGHLY UNLIKELY. So dont worry, just giving a headsup |

Will you marry me micster? lol Nice job man. It took a while for me to fill it in because for some reason my ID and password didn't want to go though but 20 minutes later I got it to work. I hope this works man, and now am very happy, because I didn't know if I was going to play MGO beta. Since I pre ordered pretty late and games sometimes arrive like 1 or 2 weeks after games are release over here but thanx to you I know am going to play it and now am off to create a Japanese account. |

Characters other than the Japanese syllabary are input to the name Japanese syllabary (family name). =( keeps coming up with this even thought i'm putting japanese writing into my surname box..someone help EDIT: Works now..had to call myself Null Taxi though =/ LOL Just finished, thanks a bunch Micster.
