I keep setting the country to Japan and when it directs me to the konami jap website it doesn't work it just comes up with a blank page, i press refresh and blank page every time. |

damn it my procrastinating cost me again EDIT: Just tried on my PS3 browser, yep turns out EU peeps that ain't signed up already with Micster's guide are fucked. It even had a padlock animation near the webpage name. |

So is everything supposed to be japanese including email,password and username? Ill try gamestop tomorrow and argue with the clueless staff.

OK, so i made my ID and ect. but when i click that link to sign up for the beta i do not see anywhere to login, it ask me to change to Japanese and i do but i still do not see the area, could you possibly post more images, this is what i get when i click that link then Japanese

Dude, if you're american (which i'm assuming you because of the mention of gamestop) you don't need to do this. This is more for the EU/OCEANIA players who have been left in the dark about the beta. |

First off, i'd like to say thanks to Micster for going though the arduous task of making that detailed tutorial. Secondly, i'd like to try and help out as well by posting this screenshot:  Basically, after you get the email, and you click the confrim link... and you go to the MGO code retrieval page; you no longer are shown a survey, you're shown that message. I am in America, however, I am an hour and a half from the nearest Gamestop. So, unless Wal-Mart has some of these pre-order packs, i'm S.O.L. Good luck to you guys in Europe, though. Hopefully, those of you that did this will be able to get in this way. P.S. Why didn't I find this site back when I got Metal Gear Solid when it came out in the first place? I probably missed a lot of shenanigans. Edit: Here's another tutorial about this very subject that some of you diehards may want to try out... as for me, i'm just going to wait for June, I suppose. I didn't get to the stage where they send a beta code to my email. I get to the stage where I have to fill out the survey in order to get the code and it says that this is a "Japan only" promotion. I got the confirmation email about having a Konami account... no code email, though. |
