This is interesting because Raiden is supposed to be equal to snake after MGS2 because of the simulation... but i want to know what people think about the matter... |

Wilson is right. Raiden didn't achieve the level of skill snake has just by being part of SOL. The s3 plan being a solid snake simulator was a load of bs, a cover up for what it actually was. That being said, snake would completely own Raiden. The skill, the experience, resourcefulness and tactical intelligence is just too much for Raiden to come even close. Also, Snake broke free from a pair of handcuffs, 'nuff said. |

Simply Snake. He had more experience than Raiden on the field and his skills and training were way far better than Raiden's, |

Ah, i guess i misunderstood the question and now im the one lonely bastard who chose Raiden. I thought the question ment Snake VS Cyborg Raiden but i guess not. But if that was the case i think Radien would kick snakes ass (although none of us would want to believe it) Snake VS Normal Raiden though? Snakes would rip him a new one |

i think it would be raiden, he would flick his blond hair and blind snake with his conditioned locks, then when snake is down, go in and slice him up with the sword sounds like a shampoo advert |

Well Raiden does have fancy CQC moves but Snake would wipe the floor with him in a fire fight...utterly brilliant Solid Snake.

At the end of MGS2, I believe Snake would win.  However, any time from this point on, Raiden would annihilate Snake very badly. |

Raiden is actually really skilled... He was trained by Solidus since he was a little child and he was a leader of one of Solidus's small boy units. Toward the ending of MGS2, Solidus stated that all his skills and techniques came from him. Basically Raiden is a monster shaped by a dark and secret history. The days on the battle field were as real as possible. Basically, he's on par with Snake at least toward the ending of MGS2. Ninja Raiden vs. Old Snake is a different story. Snake is still very skilled however, as he was able to single handedly take down each of the Beauty and the Beast Unit (separately of course). Snake's CQC allowed him to down several opposing enemies in a flash, and in the hands of a very capable MGS4 player, he can down several Gekkous with a Fully Customized Assault rifle, so he is still badass regardless of his age. Raiden is quicker, faster, and is a bitch to kill. Snake will have problems taking him down. Raiden can down fools with no hands! Raiden's agility is superb as well. Let's just say both characters are on par with each other..lol At first I thought Old Snake did not have it in him to fight like a beast, but he can down the strongest of beasts, and fight like a true crazed monster, so he is still hardcore. But I don't think he can mow over Raiden. If they exchanged blow for blow Raiden will turn Snake into a pile of ramen, regardless. Edited by The Merciless Warrior, Jul 24 2008, 05:28 PM.

whether or not he simulation was the solid sanke simulation he still had to do everything that Snake had to do on Shadow Moses, making him some what equal, besides i meant in his cyborg form anyway. |
