Metal Gear Solid (PSX) FAQ Special items Stealth Submit to Ocelot's torture and complete the game. You should receive the ending with Otacon. In your next playthrough you can use it to be invisible. EXCEPTIONS: Boss battles and Sniper Wolf’s wolves in the caves. Bandana Don’t submit to Ocelot's torture and complete the game. You should receive the ending with Meryl. In your next playthrough you can use it to have unlimited ammo. Camera When you get the Lev.6 card, go the Hangar – 2nd floor basement, where you first fought Revolver Ocelot. Exit that room on the south side and place C4 on the wall on the right. Make it explode. The first new door with Lev.6 on it is where the camera is. From now on you can take pictures in the game and save them to your memory card. On the main screen you can edit them in the Photo Album. Tuxedo First complete the game twice. On your third playtrough, Solid Snake will be wearing the Tuxedo as you go up the elevator to the Heliport. Weapons FAMAS with lasersight You must already have the Bandana. Make sure you have only three bullets left and equip the Bandana. You can now use lasersight on your FAMAS. Secrets and Tips Red Gray Fox (ninja) Complete the game twice. You will now fight a red Gray Fox. Also, his icon will appear on the memory card slot. Meryl in underwear 1 When you go through the ducts leading to the DARPA chief, look down into Meryl’s cell. Go back out and down the ladder, back up the ladder again and look into her cell again. After doing this a couple times she’ll be doing sit-ups in her underwear. Meryl in underwear 2 When you need to find Meryl in the Nuclear Warhead Storage Building, she will run to the women’s bathroom as soon as she’s been caught. Follow her as fast as you can into the bathroom and to the last toilet. In the follow cutsequence, she will be in her underwear. Travel with the trucks Get inside one of the trucks and equip a cardboard box. The truck will drive you to the area that is written on the box. Nice Wolves Method 1: Equip Sniper Wolf’s handkerchief that you get from Otacon when you escape from the torture room. The wolves won’t harm you. Method 2: Shoot the wolves, except for the little one next to Meryl. Shoot Meryl and quickly ecuip a cardboard box. The little wolf will pee on the box. The next time you pass through the caves, equip the box and the wolves won’t harm you. Upset Mei Ling Call her on your Codec 10 times without saving. She will get upset and stick her tongue at you. Meryl blushing Stare at her (or at her tits if you will) in first person view. Torture pro: Survive Ocelot’s torture five times and your inventory items will be at full stock. Ghost Photos Use your camera to take pictures at certain places and a ghost picture will appear on the picture. 1. Kojima: Otacon lab (the picture frame to the right) 2. I knew about all of this except the torture. Are you saying 5 runs through the game and surviving torture each time? That is pretty cool if so |

During one playthrough and surviving the torture 5 times. If you don't escape then Ocelot keeps ringing. Although I think it's on the harder difficulties. I didn't escape after three tortures on Normal difficulty and then Gray Fox comes and opens the door. So I couldn't get to five tortures on Normal. Edited by BosaBoss, Jul 23 2008, 04:05 PM.

I think people should know that the "Essential Collection" is a very good deal if they're looking to get a copy of all of the games, as Guns of the Patriots was their first or they lost their initial copy of Metal Gear Solid. I've seen a few questions regarding this matter. The fact that this has also been ported to the PC would be good information, as well. This FAQ seems to cover different matters than that kind of thing...nonetheless...the aforementioned suggestions might prove useful. |

I believe it's US only. Maybe Japan to. If you only want Metal Gear Solid then just search some auction websites like eBay mate. |

I have dumb ones to add to the list: (You probably already know these ones.) 1.) Listen to Master Miller before you fight Liquid In the Hind, you'll hear a copter in the background on the codec,Hmm. 2.) Knock on the wall, the one by the elevator before going across the electrified floor by Hals office and you will see Hal pacing the floor on the other side. 3.) When on top of REX's back you can look over and see Ocelot and Liquid in the control room.(A Photo moment) 4.) After you Fight Sniper Wolf in the Snow field you can go next to the right side of the fence and you will see a parachute hung on the wire, then Call Campbell and you will talk about Liquid surviving the Hind crash. 5.) If you suck at fighting Ocelot you will have an alternate ending were he says " Play time is over you are not cut out for this, don't worry I will kill you quickly." something like that. 6.) If you take too long getting in front of the disposal facility Campbell will tell you that you are getting a little Rusty and it took a while". 7.) Shoot at the rats while you fight Sniper Wolf, Naomi and Campbell get mad at you. Secret Codec #'s 140.66: Call when entering the Snow Canyon before fighting Raven in M1 140.66: Call at the Comm. Tower. ^Those are for songs. And what about those Tiki dolls or am I thinking of Twin Snakes? Edited by Gray Guile, Oct 4 2008, 10:53 PM.
