Yeah, don't use them during alert phase, and don't use it where someone is gonna walk straight into it. It needs to look like it's meant to be there. |

It would help if you use the box near a stack of other boxes too. You can also use cardboard boxes to run up stairs and hills faster. |

Dont forget that when you return to Groznyj Grad, equipping one of the boxes in the truck in the base's west side will trigger a cutscene by which you will end up inside the base (this is especially useful on harder difficultys) |

The cardboard box only kinda helped me once when inside the storage rooms inside Groznyj Grad. I didn't use it before or after that. |

The first advice is to be knowledgeable and sensible with the box, like not having it equipped to be used for concealment in the middle of the jungle.  The box has other uses too. 3lon has already listed one of its more interesting and useful features, the ability to climb stairs/steep edges a lot faster. Another is its ability to put out fire on Snake's body. This can help in the battle with the Fury, especially when playing on Extreme. Just equip the box and the flames vanish. Also, the scientists and maintenance workers have severe trouble realising a box could be hostile, and you can run at them, past them, and around them for a good while before they realise that it's not just a moving box. In the truck, Box A wil take you to the East wing, where you captured Raikov, and Box B, as mentioned, will take you into the Shagohod hangar, a speedrunner's essential trick. |

I was gonna list some stuff, but ich beat me to it- you can also use it as a temporary 'shield' when escaping in Alert Phase, but it only lasts a few shots. Also, calling Sigint while under it is well worth it.

Use them online too to prevent being blinded by n00bz using way too many flash grenades, also to avoid porno traps, and cut down the likeliness of being headshotted. Offline they are definately best to use around other cardboard boxes and don't even bother equipping with on alert phase. Everyone loves the C-Box. |

Love your box. Treat it with care and respect. It is destiny...you and the box. But uh seriously, don't get it wet, use it in more urban enviornments, don't just assume you will completely fool every guard every time. I <3 my box! |

Use it when it blends in with your surroundings. Like don't equip it in the middle of the jungle...they'll see you. Any place like in the tunnel before The Fury fight and/or in Groznyj Grad inside of the main wings and stuff. A perfect place to use it to sneak around would be the building with the shagohod where you have to plant explosives. There is little areas where the box fits right in, even if there are no other boxes present. However, I've had a GRU soldier still manage to see me, even if I was in the box. Don't wait too long or the enemy gets suspicious. |
