Hey! Welcome. Well, I want to be. Thinking about joining AROTC and going into the US Army Med Service Corps as an officer. Hooah. Though, I'm not sure if I have asthma or not, but it's more likely that I do. |

Hooah indeed, we need all the doctors and med staff we can get. ROTC is awesome, they paid for my college, and I actually made money versus what it will cost to get my degree. If you end up having asthma you will have to jump through some hoops, but if its not really bad and/or you have a lot to offer to the school you go to, you can get a waiver. I have a friend who had asthma and he is at the Naval Academy now so it won't end your chances. If you have any questions feel free to PM me, I had to do the whole nine yards. |

I have given going into the marines some serious thought and I still might go into it. Simper Fi Edited by Sonic Flamingo, Jun 7 2008, 03:09:32 AM.

I've been thinking about a career in the armed forces.Im in the UK and I have been thinking about going in the Royal Air Force. My dad and sister were in (my dad went in at age 24 for a better paycheck,my sister went in age 17 for reasons I still dont know) and it gave them a lot of confidence, especially my sister who had very little confidence in herself before she joined up. Has any1 here been (or considered) a career in the RAF? |
