According to Wikipedia (notoriously unreliable, I know, but it does have a lot of truth in it) I was correct. The Fallen is listed as one of the characters. Here is a list of the characters included in the film, according to Wiki: Autobots: Optimus Prime Bumblebee Ironhide Ratchet Arcee Decepticons: Starscream Barricade Soundwave with Ravage and Lazerbeak (Yay) Jetfire (HORRIBLY disappointing. Jetfire is another name for Skyfire in the original TF. Skyfire was originally a Decepticon, turned Autobot. I truly hope they go that route. In no other continuity has Jetfire/Skyfire been a Decepticon. If he doesn't betray the Decepticons, I'll be most displeased). The Fallen: Introduced in the second Transformers: The War Within comic book (2003), the Fallen was one of the original thirteen Transformers who became a servant of Unicron. Creator Simon Furman, who is writing this film's comic book adaptation, confirmed the filmmakers are using the character. Other characters included are: Autobots "Stinger" and "Wheels" who combine to form an ice cream truck (ugh..); an Autobot Chevrolet Trax, a Decepticon Audi R8, a Frenzy-like character (Possibly Rumble?). There is also going to be a dramatic comeback from someone from the first movie, back to settle a score (Possibly Megatron in the guise of Galvatron?), Wiki also says that we will get further development of the Transformers, with more dialogue between them (including more dialogue between just the Decepticons.) Also they said there will roughly be ten Transformers to each side. |
