I got a copy of this on ebay and after losing so many auctions for it previously,it feels good to have finally won a copy. I already have a copy but it doesnt work,it gets to the end credits and once it gets to the last piece of text it doesnt load the Ocelot phone call. But Im glad I wont have 2 worry about that anymore since now I'll be able to play the game all the way through again. |

Congrats on that man  However, you probably should've post this in Member Announcements or maybe somewhere in the Other Talk forums. Basically you only said that you now have another copy of MGS, there's nothing to discuss. |

My Metal Gear Solid 1 had the same problem - it would get stuck at the end of the credits. However, I cleaned it, thoroughly, and it worked. Ok, it took many cleans to actually get it to work, but persistence paid off in the end. But, I suppose it would be nice to have a new one as well, in the event that my current one ever messes up again. |

Ah. Whlie we're touching on cleaning discs, I find it funny how few people know that it's safe to wash them (as long as you dry it thoroughly afterwards) lol Congrats on getting anoter copy though. |

hem... guys... every mgs1 crash after end titles if it's running on a ps2 =p it's just incompatible with the ps2.. the disc inst broken.. u just have to play it on ur ps2 and then finish it on ur old ps1 =p |

It might be something too do with the hardware in the PS2,I came to that conclusion after both copies I tried both freezed up at the end (and yes I gave the disk a very good clean and it is considerbly less scratched than my original copy which didnt work) |

The same thing happens me on the ps2, The "Konami Computer Entertainment" screen after the credits freezes. Well, im at the torture scene in MGS and im playing it on the PS3. So I should have it finished by 2day, so ill get back on here later on and let you people know if it freezes.

Apparently PS1 games work on PS3 pretty well... I've still got my MGS1 so I might try it. Wouldn't mind a bit of MGS1 actually... |
