True Crime: Streets of LA It was a cool game, and I liked how there were alternate story lines if you passed or failed a mission. But what sucked about it, was it was way too short, and the ending was the stupidest thing I have ever seen. |

MGS3...I mean what a load of bollocks after 2. Naaah, as if, MGS3 pwns. Anyway, I'd have to say Driv3r probably, it looked so awesome in all the previews then when you play the story mode, there's too much running and gunning, and the on foot action sucked. |

I thought that Tony Hawks: Proving Ground was not what I expected it to be. I brought it thinking, "YAY! This is gonna be great" Then when I actually played it, I thought it was absolutely CRAP! I'll probably post some more later on, as there is some other games which I can't think of at the moment. Aaron

Sorry but I have to say it: GTAIV After all the 10s it was getting it should be close to (if not the) best game of all time. When I played it I found it wasn't the best game of all time - Quite frankly it is MILES off being the best game from all time. GTAIV doesn't make it into my top 100 games of all time. If I was going to review it I would give it: Graphics: 8.5 (Mediocre graphics but gets back brownie points as the place is so large) Sound: 8.5 (No 'Background' music) Storyline: 8.5 (The best GTA story but nothing like MGS standard) Gameplay: 8.5 (Repeatative missions and aiming system can be a bore but apart from that - awesome) Lifespan: 10 (The story alone would get a 9/10 but the extras and online mode boost this to a 10) Overall: 8.8 ------------------------------ Moving on. Final Fantasy XII was a magnificent game but not what I expected. I wanted it to be turned based so I was a little disappointed with that. Another (controversial) one would be Resident Evil 4. After all the praise it got I decided to buy it after recent Resi Games had been a little crap. It didn't meet the hype I had though. And I agree with Twilight Princess. It was good but not Oot standard. Maybe I'm expecting a little too much. |

Snake Eater. The menu system killed the camouflage. Would have made much more sense having each kit as an item L2>Cycle to camo>Select which camo you want. But no, they needed to make a menu system all for it. The bosses were terrible rehashes of old concepts, with the exclusion of the Sorrow and the End. They also had no backstory beyond "they fought in World War 2". The CQC was too limited and makes the game too easy if you exploit it. The healing gets old after you see each video for the heal. The jungle was hardly a living environment with unlimited possibilities, it was a green corridor with snakes. I still love the game, but it wasn't nearly as good as I expected and wanted it to be. |

Tomb Raider Legend: Make no mistake this game had an awesome story and graphics and such but it was way to short. I think it was only like 7-8 levels. other then those just stay away from movie turned game video games and sport games. :X |

I think "The End" was the only boss that was a rehash of an old concept. They took him from "Metal Gear Solid 2" after he didn't apear. Plus you fight "Sniper Wolf" in Metal Gear Solid. Hes the only reused concept. Every other boss I cant say I find myself saying Daja Vu. Though the end was very different. |

There's a bunch. Most of the time sequels to games I love disappoint me. An example would be Zelda: TP. As much as I like it the quality is nowhere near OOT. Who knows...maybe if I've played it back in '98 I might have had preferred it over OOT. |

The Pain is a fat guy who soaks up damage. Rehash of Fatman. The Fear runs on water, is able to move inhumanly and has stealth camouflage. Rehash of Gray Fox and Vamp. The End is a legendary sniper who can wait for inhuman amounts of time. Rehash of Sniper Wolf. The Fury is a big guy who you fight in an enclosed space, he has a massive weapon that prevents a frontal assault. Rehash of Vulcan Raven. |

It doesn't matter what you think!

If you think about it most of the MGS series is a rehash, especially MG2 Solid Snake and MGS1 the only real differences is that one is in 3D, they talk with audio and it's a different story. The creative gameplay elements and backtracking are taken directly from MG2 Solid Snake. And I must agree with you Heli, after all the hype I thought MGS3 was going to have supirior open ended gameplay and tons of jungle physics but as you said it was just a green corridor with snakes in it essentially. Lets hope MGS4's hype doesn't make the game a dissapointment in the gameplay and realism section. |

I have to say Final Fantasy XII (12) The game looked great from previews & got brilliant reviews but it was HIDEOUS! There was hardly any character development, apart from Balthier, who had an interesting back story, the rest of the cast were dull as a plank. There were hardly any story events either, you just went through tons of fields & tombs with no real objective, Its certainly nothing like the PS1 classics VII, VIII & IX ( 7, 8 & 9) I was so hyped for this game & crushed so deeply, it became a chore to play & eventually, after 80 hours i completed it & havent gone back since ![]() OTHER DISSAPOINTMENTS: Final Fantasy VII : Dridge of Cerberus - barbaric story! Final Fantasy X-2 - WTF? Assassins Creed - Repetativer OVERLOAD! Metal Gear Portable Ops + - Close to nothing in new content & lacking original features! Like ..... the GAME! |

Killzone. I loved the multiplayer online, but the campaign was way too long and therefore got very repetitive. Final Fantasy 8. I loved the gameplay, the new magic system, and junction system. I even thought the side quests were badass, but I hated the storyline with a passion. It was okay, but some things about just peeved me off. I really liked playing as Laguna and his gang more so than Squall. |

Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus I liked it, kinda. But I was expecting it to be way better, and not so dissapointing. WarHawk Very very dissapointed with this one, I thought it was gonna be way better. I enjoyed the 4 player Split Screen option though, and still do from times to times. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time I thought this was gonna be much better then it was. Still a great game, but a minor dissapointment. Uncharted: Drakes Fortune Now this is a great great game first of all, but I couldn't help it and felt dissapointed somehow. Don't even really know why, but it was there ![]() That's all I can think of now. |
